Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceEverything was fine!
It was a incredible hotel, with a wonderful staff! They were also very kind to our dog. Some spas were unique, just as amazing as the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Thank you very much for everything!

SwitzerlandThe hotel is very good: calm, spacious, with large and comfortable rooms. The staff were pleasant and attentive, and our stay left a great impression. We really enjoyed everything! The only downside was the restaurant — during dinner it felt quite stuffy and lacked fresh air.

South AfricaAbsolutely loved the setting and the staff were very nice. They apologized about my meal and did not charge me.
An absolutely beautiful setting. Did not have time to experience the spa unfortunately. Did however have a swim in one of the indoor heated pools and found the railing to be loose. Also the bath shower is very slippery which could be dangerous as someone could fall. So maybe put a non slip mat in the bath for showering. I unfortunately ate something at dinner and was ill that night but thankfully felt fine in the morning.

United KingdomYear on year, the hotel is increasingly in need of some upgrading, especially the spa showers that are mediocre, general maintenance of pools, and some details in the rooms. Breakfast is a mix of excellent local products and mid-quality cakes, everyday brands, and overly diluited juices; international hotels in the same category have usually higher breakfast standards.
Fifth time over a few years. We spent our first wedding nights here when it was just renovated years ago and we come back regularly. Always pleasant and premium with helpful staff. Very relaxing. Restaurant food and drinks are excellent yet overpriced given great local choices.

United KingdomI nearly didn’t book this place due to comments about it being tired and dated but I actually loved that fact it added to its charm and wasn’t as tired as made out (in my opinion)
I really enjoyed our stay, it is more than we would usually pay but it was a birthday treat and experience. I really wanted a spa birthday and it delivered. The atmosphere in the building was instantly welcoming and very private. Our room was gorgeously airconned on arrival (I always appreciate this not everywhere does it). We enjoyed the spa and booked one of the couples options. It felt private we had a pool to ourselves for a bit and used the amenities. There’s so many areas to go it feels private. We then had a meal at the restaurant really great service, the food options didn’t meet my fussy eating so they were great in going off menu slightly for me but my partner enjoyed the steak it was a lovely atmosphere and we definitely could of done one more day easily but we were headed home. We initially thought we might need a taxi to pisa airport but it’s actually a short walk from train stop and short distance from pisa station so really easy to get public transport to the airport :) I would recommend and I would come again!

IrelandNothing to dislike
We booked in here for a night after 2 days hiking the Cinque Terre. What an excellent place to unwind and recharge the batteries before flying home. Everything was perfect. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Nothing was a problem. The thermal pools and Jacuzzi's were amazing. The food and service in the restaurant was top class. We would definitely recommend Bagni di Pisa

NetherlandsThe hotel is not really a leading hotel of the world , for that title it really needs upgrading. The breakfast was a relatively simple buffet. The bathrooms could do with an upgrade . A shower in a bathtub is not acceptable anymore . The swimming pool is part of the spa, and therefore more functional, than an attractive area to relax . Also there is no service around the pool.
The hotel had upgraded our rooms, which were nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff was accommodating and friendly . The spa is good , and one of the main attractions of the hotel.

United KingdomA little updating needed. Little tired.
Beautiful hotel. Classical and heritage but understand the comments on needing a little updating. Didn’t find this an issue and would go back as the thermal pools are amazing! We had a bad weather trip but the hot outdoor pool on the rain was fabulous!

ItalyThe male receptionist at the Spa when I came in for my schedule appointment at 3pm was extremely rude and unprofessional,he absolutely ruined my experience at the spa, but thanks to Daniele for the wonderful massage that helped me relax a bit after my horrible encounter with the male spa receptionist.

NetherlandsWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel, especially its fantastic location. For a family of four (two adults and two kids), I highly recommend booking a Junior Suite. The facilities were beautiful and offered a relaxing atmosphere. While the spa area was pleasant, it wasn't particularly child-friendly and could use some improvements in cleanliness. Although children are allowed in the spa, it feels more suited for adults. The hotel does have a slightly outdated charm, but the rooms are very comfortable. We also loved the bar—our bartender was incredibly polite and crafted some of the best drinks we've ever had. Overall, it was a delightful experience!

IsraelWhile the hotel does have an older charm to it, and some areas could benefit from a little extra attention – particularly the spa facilities in terms of cleanliness.
The room was spacious and comfortable, the hotel itself is very large with a lot to offer, and the facilities were great. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was a real highlight – delicious and with plenty of variety.

IsraelAs the hotel was fully booked, we were given a room with no exterior windows – just one facing the interior corridor. Unfortunately, this meant we were woken up early in the morning by the sound of vacuuming and other hallway noise. It’s worth checking the room type in advance to ensure a more peaceful stay.
A truly charming hotel with a soul. You can feel the care and attention to detail in every corner, and the staff fully lives up to the 5-star standard – professional, warm, and attentive. We chose this place for the spa experience, and it absolutely delivered. There are numerous pools with natural thermal waters and a wide variety of treatments. Everything was thoughtfully designed for relaxation and well-being. A memorable stay we’d love to repeat.
