How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Smaller bathroom giving light in the room (strange) noisy street, but hey you are near the center so not to be unexpected 😉 The 4th floor with uneven steps is not for everyone.
Location, location, location Laundry, carefour, restaurants all in a 100 meters. Sightseeing also nearby. Top location. Reasonable price.

The check in time even if it was notified for a few hours before and acknowledged it was not respected and we needed to wait after the host for a few minutes. Also you need to be aware the accommodation is on the last floor (6th or something) so when deciding to go up you need to be high on energy. So if you need to buy some groceries you need to be sure to do that before going up. Another annoying thing is the light in the bathroom which is based on the movement sensor. In a regular shower you will need to restart at least once the sensor by opening shower doors.
The place is very well located downtown in walking distance to the main attractions. It has all amenities needed for a short stay. The street is not that busy as you are allowed to get some well deserved rest.

Stairs. Very top floor and narrow stairs, although it was mentioned in the advert, we overlooked it and did not pack light, so that’s on us.
Position is perfect, very close to the escalator of san Francesco (but the parking is very expensive there) there is a discount code through the B&B. It’s just off the high street and it’s very central without being in an overly high footfall area, and it’s just in front of the best ice cream shops in siena ;)

The ventilation system- during the night was extremely noisy. I m not sure where it was coming from, but it was unbearable.

The room was at the top of the tall building which meant climbing up several flights of stairs. Ok for us With a lot of luggage and less mobility, this would prove difficult. However an old narrow building so no alternative. I am not sure if stated on description. Had good rooftop views though as a result. Room was at the front and could be noisy, but again, to be expected with central location. Other places would be the same.
Very central location with good cafes and restaurants close by. Very helpful host who spoke good English. Beds were made and room cleaned every day. Comfortable and well equipped. Small kitchen which we could use.

if I had to say something, it could do with 2 pillows per person
fantastic location, on a lovely street with cafes and bars right downstairs - only a couple minutes from the main cathedral and busy streets but also far enough away from the crowds to give you a bit of peace and quiet after exploring the fantastic town Siena. I would definitely recommend staying here

The apartment stairs were too many for me. The apartment is located in the city center but I think it is on the 4th or 5th floor without a lift.
The manager was so nice she was flexible and changed her plan for my comfort. The location was perfect and you have access to everything you need (historical monuments, restaurants, bar, ...)

Very basic accommodation ( to be fair, we didn't book it) Lack for power points Very wobbly furniture, bedside tables very small and unstable. Needed more non hanging space for clothing. Very small bathroom, over crowded. Not enough room to swing a cat

There is no lift (as indicated on Booking, so it's not a surprise), so it's a bit of a climb to the fourth floor.
This B&B has a fantastic location, right in the centre of Siena, at a 5 minutes' walk from Piazza del Campo. The rooms are simple (as shown in the pictures), but quite spacious. The AC works well and the rooms are clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The host changed our accommodation on the day of the booking. The room we stayed in was completely different to the one we booked. The shower was broken. The room felt like it was in a hostel with a common area and was very noisy. We had to arrange payment by walking to the other side of town and when we asked for a discount given the change in rooms, the host was surprised and not happy.

The room what’s on the 5th floor with no lift. It was fine for me but I think this should be stated when booking.
The host was very nice and it was in the centre of town.

The accommodation was very basic. Also the bathroom light is sensor activated and doesn’t stay on long enough to have a shower. It was noisy out on the street and from the next room
