Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SerbiaOnly one thing that can be changed is that door isolation is bad and you can hear when someone is in hallway.
Everything was excellent , the location, the cleanses. In apartment you have everything that you need. I would probably stay here again.

GermanyWe found a little bit of stains on the duvet cover. The water flux from the shower is a bit too slow.
It's close to the Vatican City and the metro station. A lot of nice local restaurants are around.

LithuaniaThe room needs renovation. Old worn out pillows, (almost) broken old shower head. Cleaning is not perfect, especially in the bathroom. Room doors don't provide any sound isolation, you can hear everything what's happening in the kitchen or corridor, luckily for us the other guests were quiet enough.
Good location steps away from the metro station and walking distance from Vatican and shopping street. Many restaurants and cafes around. Easy check-in late in the evening with video instruction. The apartment is inside of the building, so absolutely no noise from the street.

AzerbaijanThe location was fantastic as it was right near the metro station Ottaviano and within walking distance to attractions such as the Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Spanish Steps, and Vatican Museums. Alfredo, the host, was incredibly nice and responsive. Despite our late-night flight and arriving at the accommodation late at night after going in the wrong direction, Alfredo was very helpful in ensuring we could access our room. One thing I appreciated about our stay was Alfredo's requirement for guests to maintain cleanliness. The real surprise, however, was in the kitchen. Alfredo had almost everything we needed for breakfast. We were able to enjoy tea and coffee every day. The hospitality and amenities provided made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Rome. Thank you, Alfredo, for a fantastic experience.

BulgariaThe air conditioner in our room didn't work. The hairdryer in the bathroom also didn't work properly as it was making strange noise all the time when we were using it.
The host Alfredo was so nice! The location of the flat is amazing - it is 20 meters next to Ottaviano metro station and 500 meters to Vatican City. There are so many shops and restaurants around the apartment!

GermanyA little noisy when guests come in and out or when they pass through the hall but that’s it. Nothing too complicated.
It was nearby from most of Rome’s historical buildings. 10-15 min. walk and you are already at the St. Peter’s Basilica. There are also alot of restaurants nearby, the train station was also close, and plenty of shops just within the area. Host was clear with instructions. There is a kitchen, snacks were also more than enough, and fridge was restocked/never empty.

SerbiaIf you like taking walks and exploring city this location is perfect. Many souvenir shops near, cafes and various food corners. Very clean room and bathroom, it's not too spacious but it was enough for our sleepover after long days of walking in beautiful Rome. Special thanks to Alfredo for being helpful (and for providing some snacks in shared kitchen😊) we had lovely time.

TurkeyAs a walking tourists, after a long day, it was a little hard for us to come back to the hotel room from the city center. Also, it was said that the room will be cleaned once in two days, but we stayed there for 3 nights and our room was not cleaned by the staff.
Alfredo was a lovely host. Room was clean and nice. We didn't use the common kitchen generally but everything was more than enough. It is nice that the guesthouse is close to the Vatican city. And the Ottoviano subway station is right in front of the building.

GreeceThe walls were a bit thin so you could hear your neighbours. Likely, ours was quite so that wasn't a problem.
Overall, a very nice place to stay. The room (part of an apartment with shared kitchen) was excellently equipped (even with smart TV, smart lamp, etc.. a geek paradise), large, clean and cozy. There was coffee, tea, and some sweets in the shared kitchen for free. Definitely recommended and will rebook if we return in Rome!
