Our best stay in Italy! This small boutique hotel is a dream come true. In a great location in dreamy Matera. The owners truly amazing and hospitable. Wish we had stayed longer.

We stayed one night in Matera in early May, 2025. Parking in Matera is outside of the historic area. Our host, Mimmo arranged a spot in a very nice parking garage about 10 minutes away from the apartment for 20 euros per night. It worked very well and made our stay simple and convenient. The room was perfect and inside of a home with several other rental spaces. Pina was there to greet us and between her Italian and our english, we were given a great tour of the city from the amazing balcony overlooking this ancient city. The room was accessed by a few short flights of stairs. The excellent communication with our host via Whats App was key to a very efficient and pleasant experience in such a location as Matera.

We had the misfortune of having a G7 meeting in our weekend, so access to the apartment was a bit difficult.

The comfy, clean and spacious apartment with a nice decor. The friendly and helpful host! The balcony with an amazing view of Matera! We'd love our stay, we enjoyed everything and we'll be back soon, wait for us Mimmo!!

The property is in the ZTL zone so parking was a bit of a hike.

The host was excellent. I have never been provided with so much detail as to where to park and information about the city. He suggested a restaurant and he made our reservation. Fantastic meal! Matera is a wonderful city. Breakfast at a local cafe was enjoyable.

It would be helpful to have information at the accommodation with details of places to visit in Matera. Steep steps which was not a problem for us but may be for others.

Great communication before arrival and details for parking. Fabulous location with bonus of a roof terrace overlooking the Sassi. Very clean and bonus having a fridge.

Firstly the location couldn’t be more perfect. Situated in an old square with restaurants and shops and amenities and a supermarket. And literally steps away from the main archway to be able to explore MATERA on foot. The other bonus is that it is one of the last points that taxis can drive to so we were literally dropped off at the front of the accommodation without having to worry about dragging bags, in the heat of the day. Our room was simply divine. It took my breath away on entry. The beautiful styling and vaulted ceiling. But nothing compares to the view that we had from our balcony. Truly spectacular. A 180°. Panoramic view out of a fairytale. There is a communal front terrace, standing room only with a view to the square at the front which is also nice. Accommodation was spotlessly clean, checking was easy with good communication from hosts, all in all a fantastic experience and I highly recommend.

We didn't get proper sheets/bedding at first. But I guess we could be first guests this year meybe. It wasnt a big problem anyway becouse room was very tidy.

Localisation is number 1. We had a room with a gorgeous terrace with stunning view. Guy, the owner was great.

The location was perfect. Perched on the edge of Sasso Barisano but with every convenience on hand, incl a gorgeous tea shoppe, post office, bookshop, supermarket. Very short walks to main Piazzo with tourist office, to Palazzo Lanfranchi, a plethora of restaurants. My room (first floor, with terrace) had a 180 degree view of the sasso, divine. Great to find a room with decent reading chair, desk, and light. Great pillows! Mimmo and Pina were extremely helpful throughout my time. I simply loved my experience of Matera and my accommodation.
