How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The location is a bit far from the main attractions (20 minute walk) but you also get a more authentic feel of the town.
Staff were extremely helpful (even to correct a late of night issue), the breakfast was outstanding, the place was clean and comfortable.

There was nothing we didn’t like – everything was truly great and exceeded our expectations.
I really enjoyed the warm hospitality of the hosts – they were always kind and helpful. I also loved the great location, just a short walk from the beach and close to Taormina.

Neighbourhood some noise from dogs barking. One way road system confusing with inadequate signage parking limited depending on arrival time.
Breakfast was superb more than average compared with other b&b providers . Alfredo was excellent host from giving instructions on how to arrive by car to providing info for days out. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything was clean and nicely laid out.

The property was far enough from the town centre that it was quieter and easier to find parking closer but still close enough for a walk to the beach. Everything was neat and clean and the breakfast was an actual breakfast rather than being sent to a bar for the usual coffee and croissant.

Nice apartment, perfectly fitting the purpose of a short stay. The beach can be reached in 10 mins on foot. Free parking in front of the house. Very friendly host and a great breakfast. Could be a good basis to reach Taormina which is 20 mins away by bus.

Not very easy to find parking in the neighbourhood, though it's free if you do.
Very friendly owner, he let us self-check in because we arrived late. There was no breakfast because it was off season, but there was free coffee and some snacks!

The facility did not have a lift. Four stores of stairs with heavy luggage was not a good experience.
The breakfast was excellent and the staff was very nice

The pillows were a bit uncomfortable, but this is really a minor issue

We got a room facing the entrance to a school so there was a lot of noise starting from 8 AM. Terra room, not sure if the other rooms have this problem.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, would be great a few more vegetable options. Location is ok, walking about 12 min to hit the beach side. Safe at any hour in the night

Great stay with wonderful and helpful hosts, great rooms with beds that provided a very comfortable sleep, in a quite area a short walk from seafront and great breakfast, I would happily stay here again and recommend it.

I booked the suite with the hot tub, the room was spacious, super clean and comfortable, really quiet area close to the seaside even by walk. In the room there was the coffee machine, water and some other drinks. The host has been kind and helpful sending me all information before my arrival via whatsapp, he also gave me some tips during my stay.

Very happy with our stay, great place to stay in a quite area with comfortable nights sleep and great breakfast. Everyone was friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. Would recommend this B&B and would stay again😁

Hard to leave. Very great stay! Nothing bad to say.
It was located in a quiet place, staff was very attentive. Alex made it easy for check-in. Elisa Made it very comfortable and homey with fresh baked goods and hospitality. Free street parking.
