How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Air condition would be a great addition, as it is quite hot in the room and provided fan is very loud, so it is hard to sleep when turned on.
Great host! Apartment is in perfect location in the middle of the old town, close to all must see places. You can feel the atmosphere of Citta Alta! However, sometimes it may also be a minus, as you can hear the people outside until late night hours.

Beautifully renovated bath and room. Bedside tables or at least bedside lights would have been great. A bit too cold in the room, if not in bed - especially the floor. Breakfast was okay although very simple.

We found it slightly cold during the night.
The location is perfect, situated right in the heart of Città Alta, just a few steps from the main square. Alessia was a wonderful host, offering clear and straightforward communication. Everything about our stay was lovely and absolutely perfect.

Nothing, it was perfect.
Absolutely amazing! The communication with Alessia was always excellent and fast. The place was really easy to find and the location couldn’t be better. The apartment was extremely clean and you could smell that - I think it was one of the cleanest we have ever been. We wish we could stay longer and pretty sure we will return.

The facilities in the room are rather minimal. There is very little space to put anything; there was no chair. There is only one central light that cannot be controlled from the bed and is insufficient for reading.
The compact room and location were fine. Everything was very clean and the entry instructions were clear.

Nothing really negative to say but tea / coffee making facilities in the bedroom would have been nice.
Perfect location, centre of Citta Alta, close to all restaurants, cafes, bars, tourist "must sees", etc. Very handy to get to / from airport by bus. All sightseeing walkable from the B&B. Easy self check-in and communication with staff was spot on. The guest house itself was very nice, bedroom small but comfortable and charming, it was perfect for our weekend stay. We didn't avail of breakfast there as we had a very early flight home. We met the receptionist throughout our stay and she was very nice and helpful too. All in all, a lovely spot for a romantic weekend get away in beautiful Bergamo.

The stairs might be difficult for people with mobility issues.
The hotel is located in the centre of the Citta Alta close to many restaurants, points of interest, and the main tourist attractions such as the Piazza Vecchia. Location 58, really good restaurant and very close.

The hotel is on the main street so was a little loud at night if you wanted the windows open
Cosy room in the center of Bergamo. Perfect for a short stay. The owner was very helpful and provided us with a brilliant breakfast and drove us to the airport very early in the morning.
