Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandIt was not very well isolated, so you could hear other people. Also finding a parking lot was quite difficult.
The room was big, also the bathroom was huge. It was very clean and had a fridge and a little cosy balcony. The staff was very easygoing and friendly.

BelgiumThe location is pure perfection when coming by car. We always found a free street parking spot in front of the hotel or around it. The B&B recommended the streets where parking is free. The room and bathroom were very spacious and we enjoyed a nice water view from the balcony. You should be able to walk the stairs since there's only a lift for the luggage. You can walk into Ortigia in 5 minutes, while the area of the B&B feels more local and relaxed.

HungaryFinding a parking place was difficult, but there is a big parking lot not so far away where one can park for 24h for 15 EUR. It was very audible when other guests were entering the flat. It's not specific to the accommodation, but rather to Siracusa: the tap water was not delicious, so it's recommended to buy water in a shop.
The place is very close to the Ortigia island and just 1 min from a very pleasant street full of cafés and restaurants. The balcony is very nice, the view in the morning with a coffee was great. The furniture in the room is just fine, I especially liked the bathroom. The AC works very well. The temperature in the room was pleasant in just 10-15 minutes. We stayed for 2 nights with our 3 years old daughter. It was just fine to discover Siracusa and especially the Ortigia island. We could do self check-in.

The accommodation was an easy walk to the island of Ortigia. Plenty of cafes and shops near at hand.

SloveniaThere should be a net on the doors as there was at least 20 mosquitoes in both rooms the 1st night. The 3-bed room had a netted window in the bathroom so there was some airflow. The 2-bed only had a balcony and as we opened our balcony doors mozzies kept flying in so we didn't sleep for 3 nights while we were there. The owner was nice and gave us spray and repellent but it didn't deal with the problem. If you don't mind AC you'll do just fine with closed doors. And there's lots of stairs to get up there. They had a crane but didn't offer to get our luggage up or down. Also if you call your place B&B people will expect a place where breakfast is served. Just call it Nike rooms.
Great location, nice rooms, especially the 3-bed one was lovely, spacious, clean. Loved the vintage but refurbished furniture, the whole place had an old feel but in a clean new way which we liked. Tea-kettle and coffee maker along with lovely china cups and tea were available for use and there's a fridge in every room. We were able to find free parking close to the house which is really down the street from Ortigia so we were able to go there for breakfast every day and have a stroll in the evening after returning from the beach.

GermanyEverything was great.
Big room with very comfortable bed and sofa, and a large bathroom/shower. Sicilian toiletries were a nice touch. Although there weren't too many stairs, the host winching our baggage up was very welcome. Location was fantastic with only a short walk both to the train station and to Ortigia and plenty of local restaurants and bars, but not noisy at all. The host also let us store our baggage during the day after we checked out.

United KingdomDon't know if it's changed owners or if they're away. No breakfast available, but that was clear when we booked. We only saw the gentleman who checked us in at the beginning. He did respond to messages and we were able to leave our bags.
Good location on a quiet street. The system for moving bags up and down is excellent.

CanadaI loved it all. If I had to nit pick, I’d like a thinner pillow.
I loved the location. Not a far walk from the train, close to good dining, and two blocks from the bridge onto busy Ortigia Island. I liked the big bathrooms and showers. We found Siracusa a great spot to tour from, so we even booked an extra day at B&B Nike. Angelo was wonderful as host.
