We had an absolutely wonderful stay at La Colombella. Gratiela and Alessandro made it incredible by being so full of life, eager to help and to provide an overall great stay. The place is a bit remote and you have to get there by car, but the view is stunning. The breakfast was very good, a lot of options, most of them sweet, but some savory as well, most of them cooked fresh that morning by Gratiela. We even had a dinner there where they made sure we get to taste the best things that the region has to offer and I can't compliment it enough. We would very happily return here again and I do recommend staying here if you want an authentic experience.

To have stayed only 3 nights!!!

Included breakfasts were made out of freshly made, unlimited espresso, homemade jams, freshly baked cakes, fruits, yogurt, etc... We paid for a dinner shared with other houseguests. The atmosphere was superb, and so was the food, including Florentine steak cooked directly in the kitchen chimney. Local wine made things even better!!! Our room was also serviced with olive oil soap and creams made by Alejandro, Graziella' son, who owns his own olive trees farm. Within the immediate region, there's so much to do, including visits to local vineyards (we went to the Fatoi family vineyard, which was a fantastic discovery of their Brunello di Montalcino), gorgeous abbeys, little towns with cafes offering panoramic views, natural thermal baths, etc... all of which were recommended by Graziella and Alejandro.

The hostes were great! They prepared us a home made cake for breakfast and packed us a peace to go! Gave us instructions on sightseeings, warned us of turist traps. They were just perfect!

Although private, bathroom was located outside of the room in the hall, near the room. Heating was poor, it was really cold by night.

We really liked the hospitality of the hosts, enterior of the house, smell of lavanda and we also got suggestions what to visit nearby and Alesaandro drew the map for us :)

Great hosts, we enjoyed a lovely evening with Alessandro and Graziella having couple glasses of wine and sharing stories. Also, they recommended us some lovely places where to go in the area. P.S. The location is in the Tuscan country side, in a centuries old country house, so do not expect luxury. We will return for sure to La Colombella next time when we’ll visit Tuscany.

Alessandro & his mom Graziella were exceptional hosts. They welcomed us into their wonderful house & their lives with their beautiful dogs. We had a hearty time together over dinner made special through their stories & their warm nature. Further Alessandro had great tips for day trips in & around the area. Finally, a shout out to Graziella's fresh home made, mouth-watering cakes every day at breakfast- 3 different cakes for 3 days!! This is definitely not our last time in Tuscany & we know where we will stay when we are next in Tuscany :)

Our time at La Colombella was absolutely wonderful - a home away from home. Outstanding hospitality from Graziela and Alessandro. Peaceful and serene location. The property itself is a 1000 year-old farmhouse but the interior is warm and comfortable with all the modern amenities (cozy room, comfortable beds, hot shower, good Wifi!) Breakfast was an experience in itself comprising freshly-made jams, homemade cakes and more, served in their beautiful lavender garden. The location was a bit out of the way, but still served as an adequate base to explore the Val d'Orcia area. Highly recommended!

there is really nothing to improve!!!

great location, very charming and beautifully restored old farmhouse. excellent, freshly prepared breakfast served in the kitchen for all guests - alternatively you can enjoy it outdoors. opportunity to have dinner at the "agriturismo" - we were extremely lucky to enjoy an excellent "Fiorentina"-steak! Graciella and her son Allesandro are extremely friendly and helpful hosts - we will definitely come back!!!!
