This is rare opportunity to feel the spirit of old fashioned Italy, don’t miss it, if you plan travel to Milan. Close to Malpensa, about 25 minutes easy drive You’ll need a car to be comfortable in this house, this is the only thing needs to be mentioned. The room is actually a large 2 room private apartment, very clean and quiet, with beautiful views from any window. Do not miss walk in the morning in wonderful garden I’d like to thank the owner, from the first minute of arrival and until the department, extremely friendly and helpful I definitely highly recommend this place and hope to have a chance to visit it again

We absolutely loved everything about this property. From the beautifully thought-out decor of the house to the charming garden, every detail felt special. Mornings were a dream — waking up to the soft songs of birds was the perfect way to start the day. The bed was incredibly comfortable — I usually wake up during the night, but here I slept like a baby. The family managing the house is wonderful and cares for the place with such warmth and attention to detail; it truly feels like a home away from home. The location was also ideal for us, perfectly positioned between Como and Milan, making it easy to explore both while enjoying a peaceful retreat in between.

The place is beautiful, very clean, and the host is incredibly kind! Everything was perfect!!

The room was huge and we had our own small dinning room. The windows reached the ceiling and the view to the garden was breathtaking. The furnishings were lovely and the whole place made you feel like you were living in the 19th century. The hostess was really kind and she made us feel very welcome. She even helped my boyfriend organise his wedding proposal by ordering a very large bouquet of red roses for us. When we returned to the room after our evening walk the large bouquet was on the bed waiting for us. When we saw it my boyfriend presented me with a lovely ring and asked me to marry him. I said yes!!! As you can imagine this place will always be in our hearts and we are planning on visiting again to celebrate our anniversary...

This place is magnificent, the level of hospitality provided by Ursula was excellent. The garden is very beautiful and the room is very thoughtfully put together. Breakfast was with freshly baked croissants, fruits, cereal and Ursula always goes the extra mile to ask what we need or want. A wonderful host!

Absolutely nothing

What didn't we like. It's a fantastic house. Greeted by the daughter, who spoke excellent English and very helpful. Bedroom, bathroom and breakfast were all excellent, all laid out into our own suite. Parking was within the grounds and got issued with the gate zapper plus house keys. The house has a great family history, great entrance hall filled with artefacts. The town was lovely, nice for an evening walk along the river. Perfect breakfast served by the lovely owner. Overall, I can honestly say this is close to being the best stopover we have ever had.

The personable and very helpful host. The giant bedroom with wonderful views of a formal garden, the large and updated bathroom, and our own breakfast room as part of our suite. Also liked staying in what is an authentic early 19th century (my guess) country villa.

The area and getting there is industrial. We went because we did not want to drive into Milan and chose to stay near enough to the airport to drop off the car in the morning. I would have preferred a bit more options for breakfast. It's called an "Italian breakfast" but it was mostly bread products/pastries, cereal, yoghurt but no salt products, no cheese, no salami/ham products or eggs. These are items that have been offered in all other "Italian" breakfasts we have had and any of them would have been a nice alternative. The fresh made orange juice and private breakfast room was lovely.

The room was extremely large and comfortable and the house really is a treasure with original furniture and artifacts. We appreciate all the antiques throughout the home. It's a great place near the airport for early morning departure or late arrival with car. The host was lovely.

Nothing at all - it was wonderful

We got a warm welcome from the hosts and the facilities were really great. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. There was a very generous breakfast provided. It was an added bonus that the house was situated on a canal which allowed us to have a lovely walk when we arrived. We travelled to Malpensa airport early the next morning and it was a quick 25 minute drive
