Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyWe stayed while hiking the Camino del Salento. Sandro is an all around great host and the rooms are quiet and comfortable and offer a lot of storage space. There is also a place to wash and dry your clothes in the sun, which came in very handy for us. The place is also really close to the historical town centre and beach, shops, restaurants and bars are close. The breakfast was nice and diverse, offering a mix of fresh fruit, bread and even local pastries that Sandro orders individually. We felt relaxed and prepared for the route ahead to Santa Cesarea Terme. All in all an excellent experience! We would definitely stay there again! Thank you for the great stay :)

TurkeyIt would be great if one could find a parking space just in front of the hotel.
The location is great! You are in two-minute walking distance to the old town, which might be considered as the center of the town, where you will find most of the things that you are looking for. What is more, the staff, especially Sandro, who is the owner of the hotel, is very helpful and ready to guide you in whatever you are looking for. If you come by car, they guide you to a parking space, where you can park your car for 5 euros daily.

United KingdomThere was nothing to detract from our stay.
Excellent location, room & breakfast, a perfect stopover. Our host was delightful, warm and welcoming, very helpful with explanations for parking, breakfast etc despite our lack of Italian language skills! A big thank you. 👏🏼

AustraliaWe had the most amazing stay here, even only for one night. Sandro was an exceptional host, incredibly welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and had everything we needed, and the property was in a well placed location close to everything. Breakfast was also fantastic. We would happily stay again!

SwedenAbsolutely wonderful! Located just outside the old town, close to restaurants, shops and sights. The host, Sandro, is the most accommodating there is and helped me with all major or minor things during my stay and even drove me to the train stations as it was pouring rain when I was about to leave. He serves a nice breakfast every morning with freshly baked pastries in a beautiful yard. The rooms are big, clean and have all the necessities. Overall one of my favourite stays!

AustraliaParking was OK for us but I can imagine that in busier times, finding a parking spot could be a challenge. We had a check in time of 5pm but actually chaecked in at 4pm with a good welcome. Maybe our check in time was late because we only booked at 11am on the day of arrival.
The hosts are friendly and and very caring. The room is traditional architecture and very well fitted out. Breakfast was good, with good coffee. It is very close to the centre of the old town and completelty convenient for everything you want to see. I delightful town to see and walk around.

CanadaThe only thing we didn’t love was that our bed was not very comfortable.
Sandro was very welcoming when he greeted us in the evening we arrived and made sure we were comfortable. Sandro directed us to the free parking which was about a 10 min walk. Our room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast exceeded our expectations! Everything was buffet style except for the artisanal pastries, which we had to request the night before. The pastries were so tasty so don’t forget to put in your request with Sandro! The outdoor common area was very quiet and relaxing to hangout in in the evenings. The BnB was conveniently located to the centre of Otranto. A great BnB that we would recommend to anyone!

TurkeyLovely AirBnb close to the heart of town. The room we had was extremely comfortable ... the bed in particular was exceptional. Compfy matress and pillows. Breakfast was substantial, and the host was warm and friendly. If you do book a room here, try for one with an external window But overall .. excellent

Highly recommend! My favourite stay in a month long Italy trip. Perfect location, close to restaurants, supermarket and nearby beaches. Sandro and Stefania were so lovely- welcomed me and treated me like family. They provided wonderful advice and tips, and were always reachable for any need. Breakfast was fantastic (especially Sandro’s Pasticciottos) and these hospitable hosts make it a must stay for your trip to Otranto. Thank you so much Sandro and Stefania-I will definitely return 😊

Italy-
We visited Otranto less than a week ago. The owners of this B&B, Sandro and his wife were super nice! Upon arrival, Sandro made sure to brief us on everything! From restaurants to places to see. The room was spotless with a great working fan AND airconditioning. He made sure we had enough water during our stay since it was super hot outside. Breakfast was plenty and delicious. Unfortunately we only stayed for one night but he allowed us to leave our rug sacks the next morning which allowed us to explore the rest of Otranto. When we collected our bags as we had to leave, his wife provided us with two more bottles of water and asked us if that was enough which was Incredibly kind. Thanks for everything and see you soon!!
