How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewCristina is amazing, very kind and friendly, she really cares about you and your comfort. Every morning she cleans up the room, changes towels and sheets 🤩 She gave me all information about Bari ir last morning before flight called me a taxi 🚖 Her apartment is very clean, cozy, in very good place. I highly recommend this place. Restaurants are around the building and the beach is just 30 minutes (Pane Pomidoro beach). I will come back to this place 💯 🤗
I liked everything 🙏🏻

Verified reviewThe location is excellent for exploring Bari, right in the heart of the city. The owner is paying great attention to details and sends messages in advance. She even offered free early check-in as there was an early check-out of guests before me. The breakfasts are in a popular cafe chain and are a great addition to the experience. The bed is comfy and large for a single room, the shower and towels immaculate, the amenities - access to the fridge, coffee, a greeting with water and juice - all top notch. For those who are worried about heat, there is air conditioning. Lots of opportunities to learn about local places and cultures. Everything is explained, both on messengers and in person. Big kudos to the owner.
One should remember it's 2nd floor with no elevator (I did when I booked, so no disappoinment here). The rule about no food in the room is very strict, even if you leave a pack from something you ate outside. Rules are rules :)
Thank you. It is true that the rules are rules as in most hotels and B&B for hygienic reasons it is not allowed to introduce food. If you want to cook you can opt for a holiday home ☺️

Verified reviewIt's a very small room but very well put together with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Exceptionally clean. Hostess Christina was very helpful in getting me oriented and handling special requests, such as setting up an early-morning taxi to get to the airport. The location in the historic city center is great.
All good.

Verified reviewWe really enjoyed our stay at Via Del Lazure. The host, Kristina, was very pleasant and welcoming. The room was always clean thanks to daily housekeeping, and the bed linens were changed frequently. Everything in the room was new and well-maintained, with a modern renovation. There was also tea and coffee provided, which was a nice touch. The room had atmospheric lighting and air conditioning, which was a real lifesaver during the hot days. The soundproofing was also excellent — we were able to rest comfortably without being disturbed by outside noise. The location is perfect: just a 5-minute walk to restaurants, tourist attractions, and public transport.

Verified reviewLocation and cleanliness
The accommodation consists of one room out of two (the second is for rent separately) in the same flat with the shared kitched equipped with the fridge and coffee machine. The room is small, very basically equipped, no closet, just the small clothes hanging bar and one small shelf above. Lack of privacy, since the owner enters the flat relatively early (while we were still in bed) and cleans the kitchen and appartment daily. Breakfast coupon at Martinucci covers capuccino and a pasticiotto per person(total approx. 3,8 EUR/person), very delicous, btw. We’ve been around quite a lot, but have never before rented a flat/ room where bringing and consuming any food was prohibited, as this host requested. To wrap up, the host was kinda kind and smiling all the time, but the whole package is weird.
you booked a room in a b&b. i am the owner i have every right to occupy the other room and clean. but where are you from the third world?

Verified reviewThe location is excellent — you’re close to everything, and even if you spend the whole day in Bari, it’s easy to return to the B&B to rest and refresh during the hottest hours. The place is fully renovated, modern, and spotlessly clean. You can really see that Cristina has poured her heart into this B&B — every detail is thoughtful and carefully chosen. She was also very helpful, she even suggested to book a taxi for me as I don’t speak Italian. And even more than that: my return flight was in the evening, so after checking out, I still had half a day in Bari. Cristina kindly allowed me to leave my luggage at the B&B and pick it up later — a truly generous gesture. In Bari, it’s not so easy to find baggage storage very close or grab an Uber to one quickly; the city just isn’t designed for that kind of convenience. So I was really grateful for her help. I definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting Bari.
Thanks 💐

Verified reviewNot much.
Smallest room I’ve ever been to. The size was about 2x3 meters. Everything that was there was a bed and a chair which I used for my suitcase because there was nowhere else to put it. Night noise from the pizza place was just unbearable even with windows closed. Breakfast was about 10-minutes walking distance. If you have a late flight you can not leave the suitcases there unless you pay for keeping the room. Otherwise you are advised to take your baggage to a place, which is about kilometre away, where you have to pay again. Problems with the water. One whole night including the morning after it, there was simply no water. I was misled by the 9.3 rating. It is not deserved.
If he stayed so bad in my structure why didn't he ever complain? In fact, he thanked me for the excellent stay. Without water? I don't think so, I'd rather point out that you consumed 500 litres of water a day, a bit much for a single person. This is not a hotel and you didn't ask to leave your bags but you wanted to keep the room until 6 pm when check out is at 10 am. Free excuse? You used the best bar for breakfast daily cleaning of the room change of towels and sheets. Next time stay at your house!

Verified reviewWe stayed for 4 nights in the B&B a the beginning of September and it was lovely! Great location in the old town close to all the interesting attractions in Bari, really nice host, very clean (cleaned every day), felt safe and cozy. We even had rain umbrellas to borrow and beach umbrellas to borrow which both came in handy for our stay! If you come by car or rent a car the closest parking is near the port, on the blue lines, very close to the B&B. Thank you, Christina!

Verified reviewEverything was super fishing old part of city, super accommodation and great host Cristina. The rooms are modern, clean and cleaned every day.. The accommodation does not have an elevator-which is logical in this part of the city(otherwise, they are healthy to start exploring the surroundings.). You can have breakfast in a well know pastry shop a little further on the square. As a welcome you have 2 bottles of mineral water and ice tea-very nice. Cristina, thanks for your precise work as an accommodation host and your open heart for quests.
Nothing to complain about.

Verified reviewCristina is extremely kind and helpful. She is very flexible with check-in and cleaning time and she gave me a lot of advice to make the best out of my stay. Everything in the house (room, bedroom and kitchen) is very clean. It was very nice to have some basics like water etc already in the fridge when I arrived. The breakfast is not in the house itself, as mentioned before, but the service in the bar nearby is really good. As Cristina mentioned, waiting times there can be a bit longer after 10AM, but the cappuccino is very good!
