How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful time at Piccolo Tibet - my whole family loved it. Presegno is such a gem of a place, with Piccolo Tibet fitting right in. The B&B is tastefully decorated, it's cosy, it has everything you need for a comfy stay. The hosts Francesca and Claudio are very welcoming and friendly, always happy to help. We enjoyed the breakfast, continental style, with fresh coffee. The kitchen is well equipped, but if you fancy going out for lunch/dinner, there is a nice restaurant on the square, which is run by a lovely Italian lady. If you stay around for a few days, you will probably meet all the 14 inhabitants at some point :) A few times each season special dinners, poetry readings, music, etc. are held in Presegno...be quick and reserve a ticket and a bed at Piccolo Tibet! We highly recommend the Presegno-Piccolo experience, and will definitely be back one day!
Nothing to do with Piccolo...but the road leading up to Presegno requires a bit of getting used to. It's perfectly fine, but do take your time :)
thank you very much

Verified reviewThis isn’t just a place to stay — it’s an unforgettable experience. Surrounded by waterfalls and mountains, every moment here feels magical. From the drive up the hill to the property, to thoughtful details throughout the home, everything exceeded our expectations. The ancient city is a rare gem, unlike anything you’ll find in most parts of the world. Out of our two weeks in Italy, this was the absolute highlight, our only regret is that we stayed just one night. The hosts are extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you!
Nothing at all, just perfect
thank you so much

Verified reviewThis accommodation is extraordinary. The place itself is magical. A village at the end of the world, a road full of twists and turns rewarded with panoramic views. The apartment is clean, well equipped, the bathroom spacious and the beds comfortable. We appreciated the fluffy duvets, which were hard to dig out of in the morning. But because of the great breakfast, it never hurt too much in the end:-) Claudio and Francesca were helpful all the time and, in addition to suggesting trips, they also arranged reservations for us at local restaurants. We definitely recommend visiting both the Piccole Dolomiti and El Zerlo restaurants. We will be back!

Verified reviewHosts Francesca and her husband are very friendly people. A great location is the prime merit of this stay. You have to drive 8 km uphill from Levenone to get there, an amazing experience. Sometimes the road is climbing very steeply, and I recommend driving during daylight. No problem with parking space.
It would be nice to equip the bathroom with a laundry dryer or a rack.

Verified reviewEverything…EVERY… LITTLE … THING. It’s hard to know where to start. We love this place like a second home! We love our hosts like long time friends. We love the people of Presegno and we had tears leaving! This place is special and not for regular tourists. It is for those wanting an authentic Italian mountain village experience… those that make an effort to mingle with the locals, being respectful of the villagers and make an effort to speak a little Italian. The apartment was perfect. The breakfast was abundant. The view is stunning from the village across and down the valley. There are lovely walks to lovely places. I could write pages of wonderful things!
Nothing except we had to leave!

Verified reviewBreakfast was amazing, the hosts make it fresh every morning and bring it to the house. The house itself was super clean. The village is quite high on the mountain (1000 height meters) and very quiet. There is a restaurant across the street with friendly staff and delicious food.
There is nothing that the hosts could have done to improve the stay, but the location was a bit more remote than expected. It's very quiet which is nice, but the road to get there is a little bit challenging. At the bottom of the mountain are various supermarkets etc. but it's not a 'casual round trip' to go to the supermarket for e.g. some bread. So make sure you have everything you need before you go up :)

Verified reviewLocated in a tiny, wonderful Italien mountain village dating back to the 16th century. Warm welcome by lovely owners, beautifully decorated apartment on two floors. Breakfast (high-quality local food) served in the morning at agreed time. Restaurant across the street, where you order in advance from what is offered, and agree on a time when you'd like to eat. All home-made food, superb quality. Feels like home should feel. Fell in love with the place instantly, would have stayed much longer, if my schedule would have allowed...
All good as gold....
