The room was on the small side but it’s all we needed for a few nights

Great location with the bonus of a free shuttle to and from the beach, in our experience it was very reliable. The walk up and down the hill is also very manageable, taking only around 10 minutes at a comfortable pace, so we were a bit surprised to see complaints about it. The area is beautiful, and having both the shuttle and a short walk as options made it very convenient. The hosts were lovely and accommodating and we enjoyed the breakfast.

Lovely rooms with beautiful view. Peaceful- as up the hill out of town. Easy to walk down into town- down hill- about 5 or so. Walk back harder but doable! Offer FREE TAXI ride up and down the hill (usually on the hour) if needed! Great fresh breakfast choice. Very clean.

A little difficult to find and gain entry, nobody to help us. Could use a mosquito zapper in the room, we both got several bites each night.

Immaculate room and bathroom. Lovely breakfast in an amazing setting. Nadia was amazing. Excellent location. Very short walk to town, 5 minutes. Free shuttle also available in both directions.

The host was very friendly and did everything to make sure that our stay was comfortable. There are regular shuttles that go between the B&B and the village until midnight. On our last day, the host asked the shuttle van to pick us up even when it was not scheduled to come at that time.

Our stay at B&B Le Giare exceeded our expectations. The room was very comfortable and provided excellent amenities. The breakfast was delightful and we ate on the patio overlooking the mountains. The staff was extremely accommodating and even brought our bags down to the center of town hours after we checked out as our train was later in the day. Totally accommodating and would definitely return!

Room was a bit small. Staff were only on site at random times during the day. Helpful when around, but having to call to ask for anything was a bit weird. Only met the listed host when we were leaving. Could hear other guests both talking next door and walking around above us, which was much louder than anticipated, but otherwise it was quiet.

Nadia was wonderful and helpful during our stay. The location was close enough to town but far enough that there were not a ton of people around. They had a shuttle on the hour to take guests to town, but it was less than a ten minute walk. Everything was clean and the AC was good. Bathroom was good, too

The shuttle bus down to the Main Street seems to have an irregular schedule.

Everything was great

The location is good, very quiet, very cosy and felt like home. The terrace was absolute “love at first sight”, so enjoyed having breakfast there. We booked a room without breakfast, and host has included breakfast for free. Would definitely come back

Our room with the silent balcony, clean bed and bathroom every day were superb. We loved the view and the breakfast which the staff made for us. Gluten free bread, cappuchino with soy milk and soya yoghurt were included. The staff were also very friendly and flexible. The free shuttle up and down the climb from Monterosso central helped a lot aswell.

The garden Was Great. It is situated in less than 10 minutes walk from the beach/ railway station and not far from the old town. But of course you need to find the stairs that lead you there. If you go down approximately 200-300 meters on the main road, it will be on the left side and looks like if you entered to a private property, but not. I think it is written number 42 or something on the wall, but keep going because it is a public pass way. The breakfast was fine, and sufficient. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Staff was really friendly.

Amazing place! Definitely recommend staying here! The place is so cute and has a beautiful view as well as lots of flowers and nature around it. You can sit on the patio and enjoy the scenery. The place was very clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast is served every morning and is delicious. The lady makes you coffee or tea, and she is super lovely. The place is a 6ish minute walk from the beach and numerous resteraunts and gelato places. Walk a little further, and you'll find the Old Town where there are more restaurants and shops that are nice to wander around. The place is very close to the train station as well, and there is a complementary pick-up service that runs every hour but when we arrived the lady organised for the van to pick us up earlier so we didn't have to wait as long. The place is up on a hill with a stairway down to the main beach area. It's not a short walk, but there are 160 stairs, so if you take that into account when booking this place. I will definitely come back and stay here next time I come to Monterosso.

The shuttle needs to run more often or on demand. No 11:00 am shuttle was a real problem for us making the train, but staff made alternate arrangements and helped us out immensely. Warning - it is up a steep hill, or you can cut the hill in 1/2 and take 160 steps up as a shortcut. If you can take the steps (we could) then we highly recommend!
