Reviews of B&B La Terrazza di Barbara

Barbara was extremely helpful during my stay. My arrival was earlier than expected, and she assisted me with check-in before the scheduled time. You can enjoy breakfast on a lovely terrace! You feel like you are home with her!

Awesome host, great breakfast, good location for use of public transport. The room was large enough for the two of us, and it had a private bathroom as well, all very clean. Staying at La Terrazza di Barbara made our trip better for it.

This is not a fault of this specific host, but houses in Italy are in general less insulated than in scandinavia where i come from and am used to, and thus you can sometimes hear if someone yells loudly outside on the street at night. If you are easily woken up by such noises, bring earplugs or turn on the AC on low or medium-low, it will drown out the sound. I turned on the AC on low, and slept wonderfully.

Barbara was very friendly and hospitable. The breakfast was good and especially lovely to sit on the terrace in the mornings. The room is spacious enough for 2 people and had all the necessary amenities.

It is a shared apartment with other rooms going to other guests - not as private as we thought, but probably didn’t read the description close enough and we still really enjoyed our stay. There was a bar on the block which was quite noisy in the evenings, so it was a little difficult to sleep, but not much Barbara can do about that and it did contribute nicely to the Milan feeling!

Breakfast on the terrace was a treat, a delightful setting and much more substantial than I expected. Freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit, yoghurt, a different toasted savoury every day and then a tart or little cake, with either tea or coffee.

Nothing. It was a very comfortable single room with a spacious en suite. There was a small kitchen area with kettle, microwave and fridge for guests use. It felt very safe for an older lady and a solo traveller. Barbara is such a kind and welcoming lady and was so very helpful. The location is good with easy access to both the metro (Susa station) and the bus (5) for getting into Milan. There are nearby restaurants and there is a lift to the 4th floor. Can’t praise it highly enough.

This is a great place, with a home atmosphere setting. We were served a very nutritious home made breakfast. It's located with easy access to downtown, as well to the Linate airport and a train station.

Barbara was an exceptional host, going above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable. She was incredibly attentive, always checking in to make sure everything was perfect. The apartment itself was cozy and well-equipped. The location was also ideal, just a short trip to the city center. We especially enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace. It was the perfect way to start the day. The breakfast itself was delicious. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Our journey in Barbara’s B&B was really good. The location is convenient close to the public transport, in a dynamic area with bars and restaurants. Barbara is really nice and the breakfast which is homemade is delicious. I recommend.

Great place to stay in Milano. Close to downtown, bus, tram and metro in close vincinity. Clean and spacious apartament, wonderful terrace and ultra-symapthic host Barbara.

Clean room, very nice host, location is safe and near to food places. Public transport is also readily accessible to bring you to the key places in Milan. I will happily stay at Barbara’s place again for future trips

Barbara is a really kind and gracious host. The breakfast was superb and the location is excellent (near the subway and tram stations and within walking distance of Politecnico).

Mrs Barbara is so kind and her breakfast so yummy, the room is clean and the location is perfect, all you need is near to the b&b. We felt like we are in our home.

We stayed for only two nights, but it was definitely a very cozy experience, beating even the most expensive hotel anywhere. Barbara is definitely the best host you want to find. If I could only give a higher rating than 10, then I would definitely rate this place higher than that.  Barbara will let you feel like you are part of the house and prepare food with heart.  We will definitely choose this place when we come back to Milan. Thanks Barbara for the great stay. The warm smile, greetings and accomodation makes our stay the best stay in Italy.

Nothing as in Nothing

We had great time at Barbara’s apartment. She is so friendly. She made us a perfect breakfest which kept us strong enough to walk all day in beutiful Milan city. The localisation is great, close to metro station. Thank you Barbara!

Barbara is extremely welcoming and my room ("Duomo") was very clean and comfortable. This is a lovely stay. The neighborhood feels very local but it is so easy to get in and out of the city hot spots on public transit from Barbara's. Barbara prepared breakfast each morning and made some suggestions about things to do and places to eat. The room has a housekeeping list, as well as local recommendations.

I wish this stay had been 15€ less each night, but that is all! It's a wonderful accommodation and I would recommend it to anyone I know visiting Milan.

Barbara was very kind and helpful. When we left, our plane starts early in the morning and she packed us our breakfast. We are very satisfied.
