How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.

Verified reviewThe rooms were very comfortable; especially the beds. The host was very gracious and helpful. Nice location; close to center but in a quiet area.
The only common area was outside on the terrace or in the dining room. We were two couples traveling together and it would have been nice to have an inside common area like a living room.

Verified reviewBeautiful spot, very clean and the best hostess you could ask for. Rosselle was so kind and accommodating getting us to our room and even arranging a cab for us to get into town. In the morning she had the most beautiful spread for breakfast. My husband and I were glad we stopped in Frosinone and found this gem of a place and woman. 10 out of 10 would recommend

Verified reviewOur host Rosella was so kind and helpful. We arrived early and she welcomed us. It was in a lovely area with beautiful gardens. Private parking was a real plus. The location was very secure. Our room was so nice and the bathroom was luxurious. Double sinks, waterfall shower. The place was spotless. Breakfast had home made treats which she packed up for us to take .

Verified reviewRossella was an exceptional hostess. From the moment we said hello until the time we departed she was attentive and welcoming in every way. We felt as though we were staying with a close relative. The morning breakfast ritual was exemplary as she would create morning torts and biscuits for us and had coffee ready at our prearranged time. La Perla is a tranquil and serene house where one can actually relax and decompress from the days travel. I would highly recommend Rossella and her house for your stay!

Verified reviewThe panoramic view of the mountains is beautiful, the service of Rosella was excellent. And I want thank her for the restaurant reservation she made for me, where I enjoyed the delicious food.
The drain un the shower isn’t working sufficiently enough. So that need to be look at. And the bed was not really comfortable.

Unfortunately the structure, cannot be held responsible for dirt that may remain under the shoes of guests, as in your case. Moreover the score assigned by everyone to the cleanliness of the B&B testifies to the care we put into the treatment of every detail , including the water jet and the shower drain , which, being new and perfectly functioning, may not be liked: but these are entirely personal opinions. Verified reviewThis B&B was comfortable, friendly, very clean, beautifully/tastefully decorated, had a lovely veranda, beautiful outdoor patio area, provided a washing machine and drying racks, had a lovely garden, provided a common dining area available 24/7, and the HOSTS were FABULOUS! Rossella provided a drying rack when we requested one, did everything in her power to ensure that we had breakfast items and snack items that we preferred, was available to/spent time with me for genuine conversation, and even helped us haul our luggage when checking out. Riccardo also was available to/spent time with me for casual and genuine conversation, hauled our luggage upstairs to our suite upon arrival, drove ahead of us to show us where the Catholic Church was for Sunday Mass, and was prepared to help us haul our luggage back to our car upon check-out. The Hosts were friendly, polite, professional, and hospitable at all times. Our stay at La Perla in Frosinone was thoroughly delightful! Thank you.

Verified reviewThe room was modern and recently re-furbished to a very high standard.The area was quiet so we had a good nights sleep.The shower was large and had instant hot water and good pressure. All the furniture was new and room had lovely decor.
It would have been helpful if there was a small sign off the main road so we could find the turn off in the dark as the main road was not lit up.

Verified reviewWe had the pleasure of staying at B&B La Perla recently and liked it so much that we have booked to stay again on our way back from Sicily. Rossella, our lovely hostess, could not be kinder. Nothing is too much trouble. The room is beautiful, the bathroom spectacular and there is a lovely outlook from the balcony. Parking is easy and onsite. Added bonuses are a washing machine and an excellent breakfast. Highly recommended.

Verified reviewSo many good things to say! Everything is new and very clean, Rossella is so thoughtful and detail oriented. The property is beautiful, too! We had a morning flight out of FCO. Rossella prepared breakfast for us and had it waiting at 6am for us! This was a perfect place to spend our last night of vacation. Can’t say enough good things about it. Thank you Rossella!

Verified reviewThe B&B is located in a very beautiful and quiet place with a great garden and good parking. We booked the ‘Suite’, which offered a lot of space. The modern furnishings are new and everything is very hygienic and tidy. The level is better than a 5-star hotel. We have never experienced such good service! It was very exceptional! The landlady Rossella prepared a delicious, fresh breakfast for us and she also catered to our special vegan requests. Because of us, she now also offers an optional vegan breakfast :) The modern kitchen offered space in the fridge for our supplies. Rossella also gave us very good tips for excursions! We would love to come back again
