How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewVery good location, 15 minutes from the old town, where everything happens. The area is safe, we returned every night after 9 PM and it felt safe. Both rooms were very comfortable.
The trash is not collected daily.

Verified reviewThe room was well equipped, clean, and comfortable. Enough space to fit 3 guests. Very comfortable beds. Very friendly and helpful staff! The breakfast at a loca café: Rubino Café, was exceptionally good run by friendly and welcoming couple, serving the best coffee and cornetto! I would definitely recommend it.
The accommodation was further from the beach and travelling by bus was very tricky at times. The shower was leaking, which made the bathroom floor and the mat soaking wet.

Verified reviewEverything was fine, the room was clean and the breakfast although it is Italian is very good. The location is close to the center and the sea, and public transportation is very helpful. If we come to Bari we will choose this location again.
To improve the room's convenience, a trash can and a mirror can be placed in the room.

Verified review,,L'Angolo dei poeti" was the best choice for a tiny and clean living space in Bari. All of the rooms are named on different poets which creates a special feeling. In fact I have never seen a place like this one. The location was 20 mins (walking time) from the city center. The staff was incredible and the place for their breakfast- with a perfect italian environment, nothing feigningly or commercial... it was warm and there was delicious coffee. The railway station is also close via the buses. The "Bread and Tomato" beach is 40 mins (walking time) away from the apartments but all in Bari and the surrounding cities is so worth it!
I'm impressed by "L'Angolo dei poeti" and I don't have anything that I didn't like. I felt more than wonderful there and I would definitely recommend it.

Verified reviewB&B with noone to be seen, no personel, everything done online, no breakfast on site, just one croissant and one drink included in the price, no lift nor help tho carry the suitcase on the mezzanine level where the room was. Tiny bedroom with light curtains, no shutters, on the street. Nothing pleasant about the place.
Dear Catherine you have done a self check in in the night and you stayed only One night in our structure , the staff assisted you for everything question or problem , in the morning you left the room very early and aniway there was a cleaning lady in the morning , for this reason we not understand your feedback . The building have a lift that arrive untill terrace and on the terrace there Is also a coffe and tea zone totally free for our guests (we wrote you this indications also on whatsapp) .If you waited for a reception H24 in presence ,this is not possible because we aren't hotel but bed + breakfast structure . best regards

Verified reviewThe communication with the owner (although only via whatsapp beforehand) went very smoothly and I received all the necessary information for the self check in.
The accommodation is not in a very nice part of Bari and quite far away from everything. My room was on the ground floor directly next to a busy street. It was very bright and noisy all through the night. The room is quite small and alltogether it just felt a bit constricting. But the other rooms may be much nicer and the owner is very helpful.
dear lady, you have booked a single room, the cheapest of all, the only single room that still has an en-suite bathroom, if you wanted larger sizes you would have had to spend a little more and get a double or quadruple room, the distance from the center calculated by Google Maps it is 500 MT on foot, furthermore if a person wants to stay in the center of Bari as in our case he must also accept the traffic and traffic noise, Bari is a busy city and it is not our fault, otherwise you should choose a cottage in the countryside with animal sounds. friendliness
