Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

We stayed a night in this town to visit the famous Roman tiles unesco site nearby. The town itself feels deserted but must’ve been spectacular in its heyday. After reading raving reviews describing the hospitality of the host, in particular his preparation of dinner, I couldn’t resist to stay. The room was as expected. Safe and clean, spacious and basic and value for money. The host kindly showed us where to park our car right near the property. We communicated easily through WhatsApp where we were able to translate each other‘s messages. The genuine hospitality of the hosts and the delicious multi-course dinner that we had the pleasure of devouring during our one night stay made it memorable and worthwhile. If you are staying here you MUST include the dinner. The host has a fabulous personality and cooks up a storm in a tiny restaurant kitchen opposite the rooms. Bring your phone so you can Google translate as English is limited but this did not stop us having a great night and lots of laughs. The breakfast is also plentiful. I have no problem recommending this apartment if you are looking for a genuine experience in a small town to support a couple who are doing a great job overall.

We had a great stay. The hosts are lovely, the room is a good standard, spotless clean with a terrific shower with great water pressure. But the star is the option of the evening meal with Ettore. Fabulous!!! We loved the food. One of our best meals on years. I'd come here simply for the meal again. Grazie!

GermanyThe food was too delicious, so we ate too much.
The B&B is located in the very centre of the town. Plenty of monuments, restaurants, and bars are within walking distance. The best part of our stay were the dinners prepared by our host (a retired chef de haute cuisine) for his B&B guests. In a private atmosphere, we enjoyed with the other guests the marvellous food and the multinational exchange. Also, the rich breakfast was served at one big table like a large family.

United StatesWe had a bumpy start with a miscommunications. We aren't stronh Italian speakers- yet😊. It didn't affect our stay. I like duvet covers. The beds have bed spreads which I usually don't like- but they were very clean. Crisp white, clean duvets are my preference though. I would still happily stay there again. We only stayed one night but I heard the host makes an amazing meal. I want to try next time we stay.
The B&B was in a great location. The rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was very impressive. My husband and I don't eat much in the mornings but the breakfast was excellent.

United KingdomWe struggled with the shower as it was either too hot or too cold.
Warm hosts with Ettore and his lovely wife. The food was exceptional both the breakfasts and the fantastic evening meals we had on 2 occasions. Ettore is a super cook and it was such fun with others that we met. Ettore introduced us to Giovanni a bar owner around the corner. Everyone is just so friendly here. Excellent bed so good sleep.

United StatesWe stayed in the deluxe king room in their annex building in the next block. The room was very clean & comfortable. The dinner & breakfast they served were fantastic: extremely delicious filled with vegetables they grew in their garden. The husband and wife team were great hosts. The location was perfect for sightseeing the historical part of town.

United StatesIt's a little challenging to park near the apartment but we found a place nearby on the blue line parking spots for a reasonable amount.
The best part about staying here is having a meal prepared by the host. He is a great cook and the meal was excellent. The apartment is in a good location and it is quite roomy A very nice place to stay in Piazza Armerina.

A perfect spot in lovely Piazza Amerina. The hosts were so helpful and kind in finding parking and giving helpful suggestions We opted to enjoy a delicious 5 course meal prepared by the host for guests at the B and B. Such a special experience to enjoy the meal and wine with others in a lovely private dining area. The breakfast the next morning was also plentiful with nice variety.

Hosts were lovely. Couldn’t speak much English but we got by. Breakfast was amazing - so much food. We paid extra for a home cooked dinner with homemade wine. This is not to be missed! Parking for a fee was easy around the corner from apartment.

United StatesThe noise from the street
The B&B is in an alley where you cannot drive to. You need to park nearby on the street and find your way there. It is a unique place, our room was connected to the kitchen and dining area, but they also have another or more rooms across the street. We ate there, it was suggested in many reviews, and it was a very good dinner. You have to tell them ahead of time. Our room was facing the street so it was a little noisy but it did not prevent us from sleeping. Breakfast was abundant and very good.

CanadaOur car GPS took us to the foot of some stairs telling us we had arrived. I walked a short distance to the B&B and asked where we could park. The hostess was speaking Italian trying to assist. I could not get my Apple translate voice to work. I misunderstood Ettore about leaving the key in the morning. I thought he asked me to leave it in the apartment. When in fact he had asked me to return it to him. Be prepared with a voice translate app and all will go smoothly.
Upgraded to a full apartment when only expecting a room. All the furnishings were brand new. Opted for the dinner cooked by Ettore that was an incredible experience. The most authentic and delicious meal of our trip with exactly the correct amount of seasoning and truly outstanding. We told him his tomato sauce was delicious not at all acidic as most have been. He replied, organic and I use cherry tomatoes. The meal was finished with his limoncello, also of top quality. The bed was comfortable, shower good with a very good breakfast. Incredible value for money with the stay and this meal. So happy we changed our itinery to accommodate a night here, and for fellow travellers well worth a diversion if you have the time. Grazie Mille!!

United KingdomWell located B&B in the historic centre of Piazza Armerina. Excellent breakfast provided, and the owner may offer to cook a delicious home cooked five course dinner in his mini restaurant (reasonable price). This meal was huge so make sure you are hungry beforehand. Good facilities - there are rooms and appartments. Some parking outside, but there is a large, safe free car park just a few minutes walk away.

PolandPerfect location in the old town centre. Very nice hosts, although they don't speak any English. Room large, comfortable and clean. With great view of panorama of the old city. Excellent breakfasts with a large selection of cold cuts, cheeses, fruits, drinks etc. etc. My partner says that this was our best night's sleep during our 3-week trip around Sicily. But for me it had one serious drawback. The room was adjacent through a thin door to the kitchen/dining room, where the hosts were doing something quite loudly from early morning until late evening. Other guests were also eating breakfast there from early morning, having loud conversations. So we had no privacy and silence, there was no way we could sleep long.

IcelandThe breakfast was great and the location was spot on in the middle of town, just how we like it. When we arrived we were informed that there was some trouble with the heater and If we did mind that instead we would get the apartment located in the next "street"/alley? Of course we did not mind, especially since we had the apartment to ourselves.
