I had a great stay at Casa Provenza. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated and there's a shared terrace with a nice view. It's very close to major attractions like Chiesa della Badia di Sant'Agata, Piazza Universita and Via Aetna. There are numerous good restaurants around and many are open all day. And then there's Antonella. What a lovely host! She greets you, walls you through everything, and is always cheery and helpful.

Just a small warning for anyone staying in the Margherita Room - the room overall is incredibly spacious, but the shower is tiny! I'm 5'2" and had a difficult time maneuvering in the shower, so if you're taller... best of luck to you! Also, only the most basic toiletries are provided in the room, so if you're traveling light with a limited amount of supplies, just know that you might have to run out and purchase some things!

The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, they obviously take pride in the business they have built and it shows! Also, the location is great, very centrally located with lots of amenities nearby. Also, their terrace is beautiful, a great place to sit and reflect on the gorgeous city!

I loved the location and the terrace was a huge bonus. Amazing views of St Agatha church. Breakfast was served there in the morning which was very special. Antonella is a very caring and attentive host. A really lovely stay. Would highly recommend.

A little difficult to find the entrance, being that it is in a very unassuming building with a high security gate down a back street.

The room, though small, was very comfortable and well thought out. It is close to the Duomo and there is a lot of choice of places to eat.

The location was amazing, very central to everywhere you'd want to go in Catania and very walkable location. The breakfast was great as well. Amazing views from the terrace of the basilica to the south and Mt. Etna to the north. We even saw the peak of Mama Etna burning bright red on our final night there! Alex and Antonella, your hosts at Casa Provenza, are also absolutely delightful people. They were very helpful throughout our stay and a joy to chat with every morning. They lent us an umbrella when it was raining, they provided advice on where to get dinner/ go on tours.

Everything was clean and well organized. The place is conveniently located from major tourist attractions and bus stops. Alex & Antonella are great hosts who go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. All the recommendations for cafes, sightseeing, etc. were just perfect to make the stay memorable and enjoyable! They were very communicative and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Catania for vacation or stay-cation! It is reasonably priced for such high-quality stay. PS: If you need to work, the wifi works well and I did not face any issues while taking meetings.

The key to the main door/grill of the building was tricky to get into the right position (to turn to unlock) at first.

Very friendly and informative hosts (Antonella & Alex), with excellent English. Very central location within the historic area - nearby to cathedral, university, fish market, restaurants, As a solo traveller I had a comfortable room with a single bed, lounge chair, well equipped bathroom. Everything very clean. Large terrace with individual table & chairs and clothes rack for each room/guest. Tourist info & small library.

Casa Provenza gave us an amazing stay in Catania. The position is perfect close to the city centre and just a few minutes walking from the main attractions. Catania is undoubtely a place to visit in Sicily. Alex and Antonella were perfect hosts. Communication perfect. Availability 100% and very nice and professional people! The room was large and very calm with a direct door on the balcony for the breakfast. The breakfast on the terrace was amazing, calm and with very good and abundant food! Cleanless and services 10/10. We will surely come back to Casa Provenza in the next trip to Catania!
