Easy access to the bus system which would lead straight into the city. The room had plenty of space and the bathroom was clean. The owner went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and supported, helping where needed

The actual bed frame was very weak and falling apart

We absolutely loved the charismatic and friendly host. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was very convenient at the little cafe down the way and you could chose what you liked. Very enjoyable experience, highly recommend!

The beds were a little hard and the first night the sheets were cotton. After the beds were made, the pillowcases were not cotton and I’m a fabric diva so this wasn’t great for me, lol!

Spacious and airy room, comfortable beds and pillows, excellent water pressure for the shower. Mariano the host was super helpful and did everything to make our stay a pleasant one.

The property is far from the historic center. It can be reached by bus but the bus route had a detour skipping a stop closest to the B&B.

Il Tabernacolo is like staying at a friend's home. It reminded me of my student times in Florence. The owner, Mariano, is super nice, cheerful and extremely helpful. There is no self-check-in, which we liked, since we got to chat with him. Check-in is until 10pm which was perfect for us, since we arrived late by train. Mariano waited for us outside and was so lovely that we immediately forgot that we were tired and had made a long journey. The rooms are simple but tasteful, extremely clean and the beds are very comfortable. (To get into the shower might be a little difficult for those who are short or not that agile, it is a big step up, but that just depends. And the apartment is on the second floor, so just be aware that there are stairs.) The breakfast is in the kitchen, with lovingly prepared Italian coffee-makers on the stove, a fridge with all essentials and friendly laid tables. If you think there is something missing, there are two cafés almost opposite where you can buy croissants and a supermarket around the corner. The area is safe, calm and not very touristy, so there is still normal Florentine life, which is hard to find in the centre of the city. There are buses no.14 and 6, that bring you right to the center and Santa Maria Novella station. The station of Firenze Campo di Marte, where many regional trains stop, is in walking distance. The fresco of the Last Supper by Andrea del Sarto in San Salvi, which is a wonderful place off the beaten track, is around the corner. In about 10/15 minutes you can reach the Sant'Ambrogio and Santa Croce area. The river with some lovely bars on its banks is just 7 minutes on foot. If you like walking, it is lovely to follow the Arno and walk into the centre. We were delighted to find such a down to earth and friendly place and would definitely come back. Thank you!!! We had a wonderful, wonderful stay.

    Nothing.

Breakfast was simple but fine. Room was very very clean and spacious. Mariano who runs the bnb was superb, possibly the best host I've come across. Anything we needed he would help with! About a 30-35min walk to center of Florence but a lively walk through the pleasant streets or along the riverbank. If you prefer not to walk then there was regular buses.

    Nothing- would recommend to anyone!

Such a nice host, Mariano. 😍😍 I liked this guy. He is kind and he explained everything in different ways! The room was really clean and quite. It has also the kitchen that is full of everything which are free such as juice, water, tea, cake, etc. We had a great time there. If I will come back to Italy, for sure I would go to this place again❤️🌹

The owner is extremely nice and helpful. He is full of advice and tips regarding Florence. The room is nice size and very clean. Nice neighbourhood. I would highly recommend this place, good value for money.

The location is a bit far from the main city atractions, so it's either about 30 min walk, or a bus.

The stay at B&B IL TABERNACOLO was most enjoyable. The hospitality, smile and kindness of Mariano (the owner) made us feel almost at home. The check-in process went very smoothly. The place was very clean (including the private bathroom), everything was in its place and kept tidy. The room is quiet, you can sleep well and relax there. The location is very good: there is a minimarket and several restaurants nearby, tabaccheria on the opposite side of the street (you can buy bus tickets there) and close to the bus stop. In the shared kitchen, we were served delicious Italian coffee, tea and snacks for breakfast before going out into the city. Mariano's tips on the area and visiting the city (bus connections, bar and restaurant recommendations, etc.) were also very practical. I definitely recommend the owner and his venue :)
