Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesWe showed up after the check-in time and no one from the staff was there. There also wasn't a place to leave our bags after check-out on Sunday which was a bit inconvenient for people with ferries late in the day.
The location was good but you will definitely need to rent a car to properly go to all of the island. The surrounding area of the hotel was beautiful and it was very peaceful. The room was nice and was very clean and orderly when we arrived.

SlovakiaThe very very soft mattress on one of the beds. Air condition rattling, and since the roof is pure stone it was hot inside with no possibility to have it on at least few hours into the night.
Very nice country house place with mostly sweet breakfast on the terrasse. The remote location is quiet and clean. Very good communication with the owner.

ItalyHuge lack of investment in basic facilities- shower, beds, linens, electrical system, conditioneer- everything is or very old, cheap or too used. Room was about 40m2 with a conditioneer of 9000btu which is for 25 m2 , so in summer heat of 35-40degrees its too hot inside. Breakfast is incredibly poor- only few sweet brioche or muffins or yoghurt from supermarket.
The location is quite good, not far from Portoferraio, beaches of Biodola and Procchio, also location is quiet.

ItalyNo soap or shampoo in the bathroom. A sign in the breakfast room stating that a second coffee would be charged: I have never seen a sign like this in any accomodation in Italy. Only saw one staff member who did the bare minimum with an Ikea smile.
Nice peaceful location. Quiet. Good parking.
