How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Madame Raffaella was very nice and took great care in us being comfortable. The rooms were very nice and super clean. The location was perfect for us. Easy walk to the city center and parking in the street close by was no problem to find.

Very nice lady. Helpful, kind. Family approach and good service. Great location. the possibility of renting a bicycle and a beautiful garden. Very pleasant.

A very last-minute stay and the host was so lovely and accommodating. A delicious breakfast was brought to me each morning and everywhere was super clean.

Raphaela, the very nice host, asked us each what we would like to have as breakfast and we were fully satisfied with our breakfast. We had the choice having our breakfast in the beautiful garden or in our room. As the weather was sunny, we had it in the garden. Our impression was that our host wanted to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

there wasnt Any fridge, kinda noisy and you had to Think about wearing a mask all the time.

The location of the AirBnB was great, only a short walk to the centre of Crema and a 15-20 minute walk from the train station. The host Raphaella was incredibly kind and hospitable, making sure to explain everything thoroughly and also asking me at what time I’d like my breakfast! The breakfast was also great and she recommended sitting outside in their garden to eat which was the best choice! Raphaella even knocked on my bedroom door and said goodbye when she was leaving the house right before I was to check out to make sure I had a nice stay. All in all a really enjoyable visit with the best host imaginable!

Raphaella was lovely and made sure we were really comfortable. If you are wanting to see the sights from Call Me By Your Name, this is perfectly central to the square and hiring bikes. Breakfast was great.

The hairdryer lit up on fire and even though I notified the host about it the problem was ignored. The wifi was not working in the room. There were many rules that you had to follow. Also, it is way too expensive for what you get.

The host was very friendly and helpful and the room was just stunning. We were so happy to stay there and had an amazing breakfast before discovering the area with the help of the host. Crema is a must-visit and we would definitely recommend staying at B&B delle Arti!

It was a bit cold in the rooms and the wifi wasn’t the best. Our host was attentive and quick to reply messages and questions, but the covid measurement was a bit much. We were also given yogurt that were past the expiration dates :(
The location was very nice! Close to both city center and the train station. Clean and nice we had private bathrooms. Comfortable beds and nice with mosquito nets in the windows :)
