Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe visited at a very hot time, therefore the bathroom (being upstairs and away from the air conditioning in the main room) would get very hot at times, but there are advantages to having a private bathroom. No bidet but we were aware of this when booking.
Very friendly and welcoming staff; great communication before, during and after stay; explained everything we needed to know. Excellent location in a peaceful area in Venice, away from the hustle and bustle of the busy tourist areas but still very central and within walking distance from main bus station and very close to everything you need to get to including many/most attractions. Spacious room with private bathroom (up a flight of stairs, clean, plenty of towels, shampoo/body wash and soap provided, hairdryer available), air conditioning, shutters to keep the sun out, in room breakfast (coffee, tea, croissants/biscuits) and fridge (with a jug of water filled), quiet even though guests were staying in other rooms, which had bathrooms outside of rooms.

TaiwanThe bathroom is outside the room, private to us only. If you really care about privacy above anything, this room isn't for you. Otherwise, the bathroom is clean and large, with no problem for me to use.
The room is quite large and cozy, as seen in the photo it provides Nina is really kind and we loved the surprise she gave us, and her assistance in getting around the area The location is really close to the train station and the water bus

Hong KongThe communication with the staffs was effective and sufficient. They are super active and caring about the needs of the guest. For example: waiting for us in the tram station to prevent from getting lost when we just arrived at Venice. Whenever you have questions they will reply immediately.

New ZealandThe only thing that happened was that when we arrived at the property we were told we were actually in a different property which was further away than what we had booked. We didn’t see anywhere on the listing that this might happen and think it should be noted for future guests. We still had a good time though
The room had everything we needed , located close to the train station and there was a left luggage area.

United KingdomThe only things we were less impressed with were the separate bathrooms and the meagre breakfast offering. Far better to have breakfast in a local restaurant just 2 mins walk away.
Super location near to rail and bus stations yet just 10 minutes walk from the main attractions. Also close to a range of restaurants. Quiet area and very private.

United StatesAlthough the restroom was situated on the floor above, this arrangement was satisfactory for our needs.
The location was very close to the Santa Lucia station and the vaporetto stop, proved to be truly convenient for my travel. The host welcomed us upon arrival, and they were helpful to navigating Venice. Furthermore, I found the room to be very clean and entirely satisfactory for my needs. The availability of luggage storage after the designated check-out time was also greatly appreciated. Overall, my experience was most exceptional.

GreeceEverything was very nice
We are 2 best friends visited B&B Nina for one night. Everything was very tidy and very clean Renata was so helpful and Mrs. Nina very kind! This is what made for us our stay valuable. They offered us a small breakfast with coffee and some snacks even if it wasn’t in the price. Also the price was reasonable concerning that you stay in few meters away from the train station that connects Venice airport and in a walkable area to the centre of Venice. The toilet was right next to our room , large and clean. For us it worked perfectly! We didn’t mind at all being an exterior private toilet, as we wanted this kind of “privacy” from one another.

United KingdomThe non-en-suite bathrooms worked for us but we discovered that guests in an adjoining room were using our allocated bathroom.....despite the fact that they had their own bathroom and the very clear signage. However, we found an easy solution to prevent unaithorised access 🗝! 🙂
As compared to other Venice accommodation Da Nina was good value. (Accommodation in Venice is expensive). Communications were excellent as were instructions. Nina and Rinata were very helpful and friendly. Perhaps the best part of our two separate stays (30th April and 13th May) was the location. Close to the railway station and to the bus station, meant just a 5 minute luggage transfer - yet da Nina is 10 minutes walk from the main attractions. There were some nice restaurants within a 3 minute walk. The accommodation is quiet, clean, accessdible and secure. The 'free coffee' and 'breakfast' provision were of no interest or benefit to us because there were excellent cafés nearby offering do much more. Overall, an excellent choice and excellent location.

EstoniaNothing to mention.
It's just a short walk away from the train station, which is very convenient should you arrive with big luggage. It would be very uncomfortable to drag the suitcases on those narrow streets and up and down the stairs of those many bridges. Main sights are a bit further away but still within a walking distance giving the perfect chance to explore the city by foot. Nice food store just around the corner. Also many restaurants nearby. If you are planning to have breakfast in a cafe then Majer is the best choice. They have several cafes in the city. There is also a different cafe practically next to the B&B but there was never any free space. This B&B is located on a small dead end street, so no crowds going back and forth. To be honest we visited Venice in early March, so there were no crowds anywhere really. The flat faced the back of the building. It was very quiet inside day and night, no noise from the window or from the neighbours. The bed was super comfortable! I slept like a baby. And last but not least - very friendly staff, made us feel really welcome. Big thanks for that!
