Great stay in the heart of Montalcino. Fulvia and Eleonora are amazing hosts taking care of you beyond your expectations. Very nice accomodation in the old house at the main street of the old town. The breakfast is not served in the location but you may choose (included in the accomodation price) from two restaurants nearby and that worked very well.

While the bedroom was comfortable, and the shutters helped the room stay dark and cool, we did experience quite a lot of noise outside from the street in the middle of the night. This is not the fault of the hosts however.

We loved the location, and the facilities in the room were great. We also enjoyed the breakfast options provided at local cafes, as this gave us an opportunity to try more places on a short trip.

Great location in the heart of Montalcino. The apartment is very well furnished and has everything you need. The host Fulvia is very kind, professional and helped me out a number of times with information around the area, she also helped with transport arrangements. Lovely staff, great location near the end of town, but still close to everything. Feels cozy like a home and yet there are still services like a hotel. Nearby park is excellent for hanging out, eating, chatting, and drinking apertivos. Fulvia is an excellent host and very willing to help out and make recommendations for places to eat, drink, and visit. Hope to return!

You should be aware that some of the rooms give on to the street, and even in April with cold weather and closed windows we were woken up by people walking and laughing around after midnight.

Location, friendliness of the owner, decoration. Room was beautifully made, owner was very reactive to our request to turn on the heating since it was unusually freezing outside for the time of the year. She gave us good advice for where to go and what to do. Bathroom was spacious, hot water running with good pressure and towels changed very regularly.

Staying at Guesthouse da Idolina dal 1946 in Montalcino was an absolute delight. Fulvia, the host, was exceptional—attentive, welcoming, and genuinely dedicated to making our stay memorable. The guesthouse itself is a gem, beautifully preserved and lovingly maintained over the decades. It perfectly balances tradition with modern comfort. The room was cozy and elegant, with an outstanding bed and mattress that offered the most restful sleep I've had—better than even the finest 5-star hotels. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, and the private bathrooms were well-equipped with everything needed. The shared kitchen and sitting area added to the charm, providing a warm and inviting space to enjoy tea, coffee, and delightful cookies. The location was ideal, within walking distance of everything in Montalcino. Fulvia went above and beyond to arrange nearby parking and recommended fantastic local restaurants just steps away for a perfect Tuscan dinner. Breakfast was another highlight. Guests can choose to enjoy it in the guesthouse or at one of two nearby bars. We opted for Belvedere Bar, where we sipped espresso and savored cornetti while taking in breathtaking views of the classic Tuscan countryside—a truly unforgettable experience. Guesthouse da Idolina dal 1946 is an extraordinary blend of tradition, comfort, and genuine hospitality. Fulvia’s care and attention to detail make this a place I would return to without hesitation. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Montalcino and the other places nearby!

Fulvia was such a great host, communication went very well, it was the crowdest day in town due to local celebration and she was able to help us on how finding a way to park the car. The B&B ia simple but offers you all what you need and it is located in the middle of the town. Breakfast is served on the caffeteria/ restaurant besides of the place, around 20 meters, simple but good with different options.

This property was the perfect location! Right next to the main city center and all of the shops and cafes! The host, Fulvia, was so responsive and flagged us down on the street as we were making our way into town looking for the apartment! She even text me beforehand and helped me figure out the bus schedule! The apartment was equipped with coffee and all the dishes and utensils needed to make our own meals! She gave recommendations for wineries that we could walk to, restaurants and cafes! We will definitely book with her again when we come back! She made the whole experience wonderful! Each apartment is private so you’re not sharing the living area with other guests. We had some time before our bus came so she let us keep our bags in the foyer after check out!

Fulvia was very helpful. The guesthouse was unavailable for our stay but she set us up with our own apartment around the corner which was great and very comfortable. Great location. The breakfast was at a really nice cafe bar around the corner which had the most incredible view.
