How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Perfect accomodation for our trip to Florence. Amazing location so close to everything and out of the chaos. The host was very accomodating on arrival and his recommendations of the city’s sites and restaurant recommendations. Very clean and comfortable. Amazing stay and would recommend 10/10

The location was fantastic, close to anything I needed as well as tourist spots, great restaurants, and amenities. Owners were amazing and set me up with some fantastic things to do that I wouldn't have done so otherwise! Super friendly and great communication throughout. Everything was within a 15 minute walk and the station was 20 minutes.

The bathroom was a bit small but was enough for us. We each had one thin pillow to sleep with. A second would have been nice. Besides that, bed was comfy!
Great location, very friendly and helpful owner. He provided us with a google map of all the best things to do/see and places to eat. We went to multiple recommendations and loved them all. It was exactly what we needed for 3 nights in Florence! We would recommend and definitely stay here again.

No refrigerator in the room. It will be nice to have some glasses in the room, even if plastic ones. No hooks where to hang the towels. Nobody came to take the garbage in 3 days, better to let some plastic bags and to specify that we had to empty the bins by ourselves . A problem with the noisy bed - good mattress, we had good sleep but my husband is 120kg so it seems bed will crack each time he moves. But we were so tired after walking all around Florence it did not matter :)
We appreciate the recommendations from the host, especially where to eat very good ice cream. Very good location. Our room had view to the street, but if we closed the windows it was ok, had good sleep, air cond was appreciated because we had 3 hot days in Florence.

Absence of a small refrigerator for water and snacks, as well as the lack of a kettle or coffee maker, was somewhat inconvenient. Additionally, the bathroom would benefit from shelves for toiletries and hooks for towels.
The location was very convenient for exploring the area. The bed was also clean, comfortable, and provided a restful night’s sleep.

Arangement of the room was s bit narrrow, but being in a historical building it was the best they could, so it was just fine

It exceeded my expectations. Our room was excellent: spacious, comfortable, with a large bathroom and all the necessary amenities. The property is located in a very pleasant area, and it's easy to walk to several points of interest. Our host, Cláudio, was extremely kind and attentive. He provided detailed information and was always ready to help with anything we needed. I highly recommend this place.

Even before we arrived they were already helping us with parking and the best way to get to the accommodation. Once there, we sat down and after sending us a WhatsApp with a link of Google maps full of very useful tips, we went through some of these tips explaining where to go where to eat and all the typical food. Extremely helpful. Unfortunately we didn't have time to go to all the places, but, the ones we did go, boy were they good. So, come back is on the plans and as for Friends of Florence, highly recommend.

Our welcome was the best! Simone took time to walk us through a list of places he recommends for eating and seeing. We followed up.on several - perfect! The apartment is comfortable and an excellent location . Like Coco Apartment in Turin, this is one we will happily book again.

Perfectly located just a stone's throw from the old town, in authentic accommodation on a quiet street. Ideal accommodation for exploring the city, but it's the host's hospitality, his passion for making his guests feel at home, which he does with plenty of tips and maps, plus he always has a kind word for you when you meet, that make Friends of Florence a real treasure.

A small fridge would have been great, and glasses for water. Maybe a blind at the window, but none of these things spoilt our enjoyment
The host was very friendly and helpful, with information about how to get the best out of our time in Florence. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had a private, exterior bathroom, which was fine.

Host very easy to get a hold of with any question. Very helpful in helping us orient to Florence. Near Ponte Vecchio and all museums. Near caffès n restaurants.

It would be nice to have a few things like knife and fork, plate, kettle , cups, etc to be able to self cater but we really enjoyed our stay.
Great location right next to Boboli Gardens and Pitti Palace. Great host so helpful, gave us advice on restaurants, etc and even booked us a taxi for when we left . Thank you Simone!
