How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

A nice and clean accommodation in the old part of Ancona. I came with the ferry from Croatia and I did not expect much more as a couple of relaxing days before traveling to the next destination. However, Ancona is such a lovely place and especially the caves along the coast are worth a visit.

Better instructions to find the place. There are 3 doors with the same address, and I was lost when I tried finding it.
Adequate. No warm foods, but the choices were fine.

nothing really. note that this is a typical italian b&b, therefore breakfast is mostly sweet things and rooms are close to each other (i was lucky because i was the only one in the b&b for that night)
Very central location, close to the port, to bus stop (for the airport) and the city center. Instructions were very clear (perhaps the most clear that I have ever received) and self-check in/out is very helpful. Room is nice and big enough for 1 or 2 people. Breakfast is appreciated. Quiet location.

Nothing. I would just sugget an extra plug to use hair dryer (if possible without having it stolen)
just perfect, full of curated details, humor, style and attention to clients need. Breakfast is awsome, and presented in such a lovely way. Everything was spotless clean, more than this you could not ask

The only thing thats missing is air conditioner.
The place is on great location, few steps from city centar. Its very clean and comfortable. Solo check in was easy.

Exceptional stay. Great communication from the owner with clear instructions for everything from self check-in to how to use the coffee machine. Everything very well organised and very clean within the property, too. I'd highly recommend.

Location is within old town of Ancona and close to ferry terminals. Room is very nice. Everything was well prepared for my late arrival.

One suggestion: Maybe can prepare one more quilt or blanket in the room.
Great location. Very clear instructions for self check in. Warm-hearted owner. They take good care of the apartment.

It’s a little bit of a walk from station and most of it is uphill. I’d suggest that people catch a bus to the port as it is much closer to that and an easier walk.
Location, cleanliness. Stefano, (host), was really friendly and helpful. Let me leave my luggage for a few hours after checkout and suggested some amazing sites within walking distance. Lovely little breakfast supplied. Super lucky as the Festival of the Sea was on and got to experience this as well. Highly recommend!

Location was perfect for us , it was located not far from the port. We had to take a ferry to Croatia in the morning. It was also close to restaurants and shopping The contental Breakfast was convenient and quick for us as we had to leave early. The hostess spoke very good english. We arrived earlier than expected ,they allowed us to leave our luggage there while they finished cleaning. Both the bathroom and the bedroom were very clean The bed was very comfortable. We would stay again.

Great central location. Unit was on an upper floor & there was a lift. Reception & units were all renovated & were clean & attractive. The bed was very comfortable & the shower was good. We enjoyed the great coffee from the espresso machine. The hosts were lovely and directed us to a fantastic restaurant by the Sea, accessed by the pleasant pedestrian walkway that began near the B & B. We enjoyed our stay & time spent in Ancona.
