Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe location is a fair walk from Pompei itself, along non-pedestrianised roads, so a car (or taxi) is recommended.
We travelled as a family (two adults, two teens) and stayed in a family room in the complex. In hindsight, the room is probably aimed more at families with younger children, and so it was a bit of a squeeze for us, and was quite basic; however, we didn't spend much time in the room, as the outside facilities are lovely. The pool area was spacious, with a small bar and plenty of sunbeds; the pool itself was clean and large, and the gardens are beautiful. We ate dinner twice in the restaurant, which had a great selection of dishes to choose from. On the evening when the restaurant was closed, we found a take-away at the end of the street, which served whole spit-roasted chickens, and a pizzeria a short walk-away owned by a hilarious older Maradona look-a-like.

AustraliaWe didn't realise the nearby train station was no longer operating. Not the fault of the accommodation in fact they were very helpful in organising us alternate transport as we didn't have a car.
We stayed a week here and found it relaxing and friendly for our family. The staff were delightful and always helpful. The food and drinks were divine and we loved dining poolside while the kids played in the cool waters. It was a nice oasis away from the heat and bustle of summer Pompeii and surrounds.

CanadaNot the cleanest property (not awful, but could have been better, really) breakfast was so so. We didn’t try the restaurant in the evening.
Well located to visit Pompei. Nice swimming pool, a Small Farm on site to entertain kids. Very nice staff in the evening. efficient and quiet AC. A driving service offered (we used it, the circulation isn’t that easy in that neighborhood) and a private parking nearby (with possibility to drop luggages at the entrance). A very good pizzeria nearby 2 blocks away (the maradonna della pizza!

SloveniaOur room was facing the road, which is quite busy and unfortunately very noisy even at night (dogs barking, garbage collection, heavy traffic, etc.). I believe that staying in the garden-facing rooms would offer a much more pleasant experience. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. The selection was very limited, and items ran out quickly. For example, when we kindly asked for more cheese around 8:45 AM, we were told it was already gone. There’s definitely a lot of room for improvement in this area.
The garden and pool area are wonderful – after a full day of walking through ruins and hiking up Mount Vesuvius, it was a real pleasure to relax in the shade. There’s also a children’s playground with several options for entertainment. The play equipment could use a bit of refreshing (e.g., a new coat of paint), but overall it was a great addition. Parking is also very convenient, just across the street.

United StatesThe room seemed a little run down. We were supposed to have a view of Mt Vesuvius. We did have a mountain view just not Vesuvius. Our room looked down on a little street and gate to the hotel. It was noisy we could hear people going up and down the stairs to their rooms on the other side of the wall. Cars honking the trash trucks. And the bedside lamp kept turning on and off. We had to unplug it. Also the pool closed at 6 and the day we arrived there was a wedding going on so areas closed off no restaurant available and a lot of noise.
The grounds were beautiful. They also had horses, goats, chickens, cows, and cats. The pool was well-maintained and deep. They also had a nice playground.

United KingdomLocation- was about 30- 40 minutes on foot to Pompei and any of the train stations. Unless you like walking it is probably advisable to get a car. The bed rail on the top bunk was not fit for purpose and dangerous if you had little kids. My teenage son knocked it off in the night when turning over and it landed on my other son below on his arm- it was metal. I ended up leaving it off, which isn't safe either!
The pool was lovely after a long day walking, we had no car so travelled around on foot. The staff were nice and helped us book a transfer back to the airport and let us use the pool on the day we checked out for a small charge. There is a great chicken shop nearby which is great value for money - their speciality was enormous!
