The stay at La Locanda was amazing, a beautiful atmosphere in the middle of the Sorrentino vineyard, under the Vesuvius volcano and with a view of the sea, mountains, vineyards, Vesuvius, truly beautiful... We also experienced an excellent wine tasting from the Sorrentino winery and pairing with delicious food. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, good selection. There is also a nice pool with a view of the sea and Vesuvius. The accommodation was stylish, spacious, quiet... We will be happy to come back😊

The kitchen utensils are minimalist, but that wasn't a big problem: we managedwith what was in place.

We loved our stay in this little house in the mids of the vineyards. It is so unique and super romantic. You can sit outside on the terasse and enjoy the view over Pompei. It was so much fun and many bypassers stopped to take picture or asked us how they can book the house. Also Raffaele was a superb host, contacted us the day of our arrival with all the details and showd us to the accomodation.

If you don’t have your own car, you can use taxis to get to and fro, but they are expensive and the key takeaway is that they need to be requested with at least half a day’s advanced notice. The airport shuttle should be arranged with the front desk the day before at least. Online schedules show a bus line not far away, the 003, however, when we got to the stop, residents said the bus hasn’t actually run there in years, so we ended up walking further to the Boscoreale metro station. Could be too far for some.

The property is gorgeous! And so quiet. The first night we were steeped in crickets, the second there was an event with what sounded like a live vocalist drifting across the grape vines. We stayed in one of the farmhouses. The bed was the comfiest I’ve slept in during our whole time in Italy. Lunch at the restaurant was great with wine and ambiance. Breakfast was simple fare but satisfying and in the same beautiful place. We were able to hike from the farmhouse to the trailhead for Strada Matrone all the way up to the cone! Raffaele at the front desk was super helpful.

To stay in a beautiful vineyard on the slopes of Vesuvius- there is nothing like it. We loved the guest cottage and it’s loft bedroom, and the entire experience was unforgettable. Wonderful warm hospitality and helpful staff - it was perfect!

The location on the vineyard was beautiful! Also a nice cozy little house with a view from the bedroom on the Vesuvio. Staff was really helpfull and since we couldn't go on the Vesuvio because of the rain, we enjoyed ourselves with a winetasting in the restaurant on walking distance.

The air condition did not cool down the whole room so three of the guests in the room where very hot in the heatwave but after we let the staff know they brought us a fan that helped a little bit.

Room was not as clean as it could have been (ants in the kitchenette, paint falling off walls, cobwebs, scruffy sofa bed, broken shower head). Bathroom door has see through glass panel, not ideal with 2 teenage daughters. Was not as comfortable as it could have been as air con did not really cool the upper mezzanine even with a fan. The table and chairs outside were not comfortable and not really positioned to get good views. Massive ants outside so spent a lot of time inside instead. Nowhere to really walk to for food and drinks in evening so needed to drive which meant that we couldn't really relax and drink the lovely wine or enjoy wine tasting in the day. Did not really feel connected with the community and felt a bit isolated unfortunately. Could have been much better if there were more affordable eateries within walking distance or more things happening in the evening in the vineyard restaurant, which did not open for dinner and meant if we did not drive out for dinner we were couped up inside. Did not feel that we could use the outside terrace area due to bugs and ants, could be better if there were some repellant candles, wasp catchers or netting to help this. Feel dissapointed that we could not make the most of this lovely place. Did not match expectation unfortunately.

Good view of Vesuvius, vineyard and bay. Little gecko living with us :) Pool was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Had little soaps and body lotion in the bathroom. Vineyard itself is lovely.

the sofa bed is not the best, and they charge us 4 Eur for the swim caps, although they give it to us with no information about the cost.

The location is astonishing!! and the apartment is spacious for the 4 of us, the bed is comfortable. The swimming pool area is new and really nice to relax there and they didn't charge us anything to enjoy the pool although it says so on booking. is a great place to stay more than one night!
