How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There was nothing not to like. The cleaner took away one of my towels and didn't replace. But i think i could have managed that with a call to reception if i cared enough :)
The hotel's location could not be any better - its a lazy walking distance to anywhere in Florence. There is an elevator - you don't have to carry your luggage up and down the stairs. The reception kindly allowed me to check in a little earlier - was very nice of them. The room exceeded all my expectations - by hotel standards it is very big, with a closet space, the bathroom is also spacious. Nice bed. It was quiet at night. I would definitely be back - to Florence and to Atelier Altafronte

on our last night (night four) unbeknownst to us, the accom is across the lane way from a night club which starts to generate significant noise around 11pm (Thursday night) and this continued through to early morning 4-5am Friday...queues nearing 100 patrons form in the lane way directly under the accom windows waiting to get into the club and they also generate significant noise whilst waiting...pity any future guests who happen to stay on a club night...this was raised with the accom host's on Friday morning and they expressed surprise and apologised for the inconvenience we encountered.
location was excellent and facilities were modern and clean, staff were fantastic but..

Best. Location. Ever. Plus our room, duomo on the 3rd floor, was fantastic. Spotless, modern, great bathroom. Such a pleasant surprise. I’d had zero expectations and am typically very picky and this place was truly awesome. I’d definitely choose it again for a stay in Florence. Just steps from ufizzi and the David and the Duomo is RIGHT THERE.

Incredible location. Great staff. Fantastic service. The decor was incredible. Just a great time. The room and balcony in the Inn were perfect. Great roof-top pool including home-made "smores" hour with house-made marshmallows and graham crackers. Really top notch place. Also, the staff were incredibly friendly and approachable - they gave me deep insights to the area and made time for me. Really felt like they were passionate about having an exceptional experience.

Lovely little hotel in the centre of Florence. Incredibly kind staff and super helpful. Quiet, comfortable, and very tasteful rooms. Excellent location, couldn't have asked for more!

We had such a an amazing experience at this hotel. You couldn’t ask for a better location, only a 5 minute walk from the Ponte Vecchio and all of the major sites. Our room was sparkling clean with everything we needed. The staff were great - highly recommend.

Air conditioning - fantastic- we had a terrific night's sleep😊. Staff service letting us leave our bags at reception while we shopped and then texting us to let us know our room was ready for us to go and have a cold shower!!

The location is top! Perfect for a short stay to have a great experience right in the heart of Florence. The welcome and attention to detail is very appreciated. The staff is very nice and helpful. The room was spacious, with a small walking closet, complimentary water and quite big bathroom. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to my friends and family!

Be warned. The main galleries are closed on a Monday.
Great location on a very quiet street close to the Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi gallery and Pritti Palce. The room was spacious and clean. Would use the hotel again if in Florence.

Very friendly staff Excellent room. Modern and spacious. There was free water and coffee for us at our arrival. Very close to Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery I would recommend it for sure.

Sad part was those windows opened into the neighbours… like an air shaft and so close that we could have probably all held hands
Room and bathroom both had windows. The lift was very convenient.
