Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe property is a bit tired and while the rooms are a good size, a large TV is plonked in front of the mirror in the room. The rooms ideally need an update. The hotel really doesn’t have a beach as the beach is full of ricks and the waves quite strong but most of Taormina seemed to be a rock beach. There are other hotels who have pools which are closer to Taormina old town so if you are more interested in shopping and dining, you might want to consider a location closer to the town as the shuttle bus goes every 20mins and while a great service, you must book in advance and spots fill up and if you change your mind, you cannot always be guaranteed to get a different bus.
Property is large with an infinity pool, private beach, fitness centre and the room is large with separate dressing room. As the property is beach side, it provides a shuttle to and from the town at various times of the day, mostly centred around the evening as dining options are limited beach side and it’s a steep walk into town unless you use the cable car, which is still a 15 min walk around streets with limited footpaths. You can park your car for €27 per day. Breakfast is served on a terrace with great views of the coast & Mt Etna. The selection is considerable and the staff are very efficient. The pool has a stunning view and there are a large number of lounges with a bar allowing for cocktails in the pool.

Hong KongOther than that, the hotel decor is older than expected and definitely not what I expect for the price. There was breakfast included, but it was just okay, and there were a lot of wasps flying around. Again, just not what I would expect for this price.
The best part of this hotel is definitely the views, especially from the pool and private beach. It is absolutely stunning. We spent full days just at the pool and the beach staring at the views. Everything you pay for is this view and area.

United KingdomDecor is a little bit tired and I got a shellac nail repair in the salon which was terrible (she filed my skin around the toenail so much it was inflamed and bleeding, but didn’t seem to care)

AustraliaThe hotel and its rooms are a little outdated, but were still spacious and cleaned daily with fresh towels and bathroom amenities. The shuttle bus into Taormina was convenient, but the hotel informed me that it is run by a 3rd party and the driver didn't seem to care if he left before the departure time or without the reserved passengers - so make sure you arrive 10-15 minutes early for the bus.
My husband and I travelled to Sicily for our honeymoon and were delighted to stay at Una Hotels in Capotaormina for 5 nights. It was worth the investment. The private pool and private beach were fantastic for relaxing, soaking up the sun, and escaping the chaos of Taormina. It was easy to park our car there (for an additional cost) and to drive to other locations and see Sicily. The breakfast location was great, and the pool bar was convenient for drinks and food. The staff were very accommodating. Would return to this amazing hotel!

United KingdomEverything in the Sicilian hotels feels due an upgrade and a refresh. Especially for the high prices.
It’s all about the location, the views and the caves, beach, pool and terraces. Dramatic cavern walk-throughs revealing expansive sea views. Perfect

BulgariaThe cleaners came at the same time every day ( between 2pm and 3pm) when my child was napping and they did not bother to change the hours of cleaning our room despite the fact that every day i told them to come earlier or later when we are not resting.
The quality you get for the price is insanely good, everything for breakfast was delicious and fresh, the view from the room was stunning! I have never seen a hotel with a cave before, and also such a beautiful beach!

United KingdomHotel rooms could do with modernising (they are fine), even just a lick of paint and some more modern furniture. But this didn't taint our experience at all.
Fantastic location, very friendly staff. Pool and beach area are stunning. They have free shuttles you can take to the main part of town which are so handy. Great breakfast.

FranceBreakfast could be improved (like offering guests different ways of cooking their eggs instead of just hard boiled eggs) Also the maid who knocked on our door at 9am while we were still sleeping was not appreciated
Everything about this hotel is wonderful: the staff, the pool and private access to the sea, the comfortable rooms, the best views in Taormina, the free shuttles up to the old town. We felt privileged to be able to stay here! The negative comments about this place are unfair, yes the rooms are a bit old fashioned but still very comfortable and offering magnificent views, and what you come for here anyway is the location. Can only recommend !!

NetherlandsThe rooms need renovation. The parking should be free for guests. The menu at bar and restaurant are over priced. The check in process was protracted, with mistakes on our credit cards and too little explanation on the facilities and the services available.
The view is very nice. The swimming pool amd beach are in perfect location. The rooms are large and well situated. The staff is very attentive. The shuttle to the old town is a good service. We liked the music at the sveso restaurant in the evening..

AustraliaThe restaurant menu including the pool bar were very overpriced and didn’t quite live up to the expectations of that price. Interestingly you could scan the menu at your sun deck chair but to order had to walk out of the pool area to the bar. Complimentary water in your room should be a basic daily requirement. Above really could have made the experience seamless.
The positioning of the hotel is incredible and very contemporary. The sea swim, the pool, the gym were all great and offered an interactive stay. Our room was also amazing, more like a studio. The staff and service are amazing and the shuttle service to town is a great touch.
