Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe elevator only goes up to the second floor, so to get to the main entrance on the 3rd floor going by stairs is the only option.
The hotel is on Via Nazionale, so walking distance forom the Termini Train Station. The building is an old one, and so is the hotel. Self check-in, with clear instruction via whatsapp to get into the building and access the facilities. The room was small but comfortable, the style a bit outdated but overall it did the job. Communication with the host was smooth and easy.

IndiaAir Conditioner takes too long to get to the comfortable temperature.
Very Responsive Staff. Convenient Location - Walkable distance from Rome Termini (can take straight 30 minute train to Airport from here and Fast Trains to other cities; And city Metro). The place gives an old European apartment feeling (which I liked). All basic amenities available for comfortable stay. Air conditioner takes a bit long to get to the comfortable temperature. This is a problem during summer. Ideal for solo travellers; maybe for couple as well; definitely not for a family (room is small).

United KingdomThe building that houses the hotel is in a parlous state, particularly the carpet that covers all floors. It looks very dirty and worn. Replacing that alone would make the whole building more welcoming. The immediate vicinity is also rather dirty, but that is Rome!
The kitchen is quite small; reaching the fridge was tricky and the power points could need updating. Coffee, tea, cereals and milk provided were good; I don’t particularly like the rusks that are usually provided in Italian establishments, but that’s a question of personal taste, do I didn’t find the breakfast adequate. However, having access to the kitchen at all hours was excellent. The room and private bathroom were reasonably sized for this part of the city.

Very lovely staff, I was unable to find the hotel and they sent me directions. It's great if you like being left alone, I prefer this over staff that hang over your shoulder. 5 mins walk from the big bus and train station

United Arab Emirates1. It's an old building and needs some basic maintenance. 2. The lift worked once during my stay and walking up 3 flights after being out all day was the last thing someone needed. NOT FOR PEOPLE WITH ACCESSIBILITY NEEDS. 3. The size of the shower stalls, small and not for the average or even larger sized person. 4. Mattress/bed uncomfortable 5. Lack of signage on the building. A small brass plaque with a button and hotel name handwritten is not easily seen.
The location was close to the train station and some lovely restaurants. The provided tea and coffee and light breakfast snacks. Ravi on the reception was more than helpful and polite.

NetherlandsThe cleaning was even reasonable but needs maintenance to change seats, clean the air filters, etc
Even before arriving I was contacted by the receptionist or AI (as I never got to the live person) giving instructions on the steps everyone will take to get to the hotel. The hotel is old for its decoration, the breakfast is quite basic in which self-service is included to wash your own dishes Points rise on the good location

TaiwanThe air-conditioning situation could have been improved. The machine ran 24hrs, but cooling was just enough. Circulation via a fan could have been provided. The reception person visits for an hour per day and most of the communication happens via messages. The old-style elevator was slow though.
The location is the plus point. The flexibility of the kitchen area and the common facilities were nice. Quick communication via messages to resolve issues.

ColombiaYou have to make your own breakfast and the food is really reduced. So it's a bit poor. There is no one to greet you at the reception which is a bit weird. The air conditioning is old and doesn't work. The bed is a bit hard and not that comfortable.
Although it was not possible to communicate with a staff member in person during my stay, the person I communicated with at all times via WhatsApp was always very clear in her answers and in any doubts I had. The place is quiet and peaceful. Close to Roma Termini station. Well connected to the different bus stations.

United KingdomHowever, the shower door was broken. There was no staff or receptionist- I saw two staff very briefly. All contact was through WhatsApp. It was weird. They need to make it clear on the website, the lift only goes to the 2nd floor, and the hotel is on the 3rd floor. Have I have known I would have booked somewhere else. I’ve mobility issues and struggle on stairs. Fortunately, someone helped me. Not staff but a guest.

HungaryThe lift only goes up to the second floor, from there it's a narrow spiral staircase, which is quite exciting with luggage.
Good location, the usual "sweet" breakfast, self-service. The accommodation is a bit run down, but it was fine for one night. Rome is overpriced overall, and this accommodation is no exception. All in all, you get what you pay for.
