Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Very warm reception and kind and ininterrupted availability by Ilaria, always helpful on suggestions about interesting sites to visit. Francesca matches the same spontaneous gentleness profile. Very good breakfast,in the gardens of an exquisite property, a home to gorgeous lemon trees and colourful blossoms. Spa is a possibility, but a relaxing pool is already a relief at disposal. The room is very comfortable, remarkably spacious and we had the privilege of a private balcony. An excellent stay in Sorrento.

CanadaThe beds were a little hard, but that’s a small inconvenience in exchange for what you get at the property.
The property is beautiful. Lovely views and you are close to everything, while still in a quiet location away from the bustle at night. The property was also exceptionally clean and well cared for. The pool was also a great bonus for hot days.

PolandThe only things I felt were missing from the experience were a tea/coffee maker in the room and a complimentary bottle of water upon arrival — small touches that would have added extra comfort. Most importantly, I would have appreciated a bit more variety at breakfast. While I understand that in Italy the tradition leans toward sweet pastries — and the warm croissants were absolutely delicious — a property of this high standard could consider catering slightly more to international tastes. Including a few savory options such as sandwiches, quiche, or even boiled eggs would make the breakfast experience more balanced and inclusive.
We had a wonderful stay at this charming property in Sorrento. It's located slightly away from the busy tourist crowds, yet still within walking distance of all the main attractions. We arrived by train from Pompeii and took a pleasant 20-minute walk from the station to reach the property. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, featuring a spacious garden and a small swimming pool — perfect for cooling off, though not deep enough for swimming. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and came with a lovely balcony where we enjoyed breakfast each morning. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room also included a small fridge for convenience. The bathroom was roomy, equipped with a big shower, a hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries.

United KingdomNot really an issue, but a kettle in the room would be a bonus.
Perfect location for us. In a quiet area but literally only a few steps away from the centre of Sorrento! Comfortable, spacious bedroom with a lovely large balcony. Breakfast served in the room (coffee, croissant, yoghurt). Beautiful gardens and pool area. The pool wasn't open during our stay but we we knew that. Lovely staff on reception. Good communication. Approx 10 minutes walk to the train station and the ferries.

United KingdomAs others have noted, a kettle in the room would have been nice (we English need our tea!), but that's a minor inconvenience. The provided toiletries (shampoo, etc) were also on the small side (more like samples) even if they were replaced regularly, so we ended up using our own more than theirs. Also, fair warning that if you're XL or above the shower is a squeeze to close the door without breathing in!
We had a lovely time. The staff were friendly and helpful when we needed them, and the apartment was clean and had almost everything we needed. The property is situated perfectly for easy access to everything Sorrento has to offer. The terrace was lovely to sit out on during the afternoon/evening, watching the birds and looking out to the lights of Naples across the bay. The bed is a fairly firm memory foam, which may not be to everyone's liking, but I suffer from back-ache and found it very nice to sleep on.

United KingdomThe breakfast facilities are on an outdoor terrace, so when the weather is unsuitable, as it was during our visit, they serve breakfast in your room. Would have preferred an alternative indoor area to be available.
Great location, large comfortable room, very friendly and helpful team. Really convenient for walking down to the Marina Grande and it’s numerous fish restaurants, where we ate every evening.

United StatesPerhaps having all the in-room charges at the end being able to charge to the card on file but besides that it’s a wonderful place to stay!
The location is right in the heart of Sorrento so it’s super easy to get around and you don’t have to walk up a ton of stairs to get there. It’s far enough away from the town center so it’s still quiet at night. The rooms are spacious, cleaned everyday, and comfortable. The staff was incredibly responsive and helped make our stay amazing. They arranged for a car to pick us up and drop us off from the airport, booked us wonderful massages, and were just super warm and welcoming.

Great location with main shopping area and restaurants a short stroll. Large apartment. Peacefull setting with lovely grounds and outdoor areas. United KingdomWe had to pay 20 euros for a cereals dispenser that my husband supposedly broke. It was not working well and my husband forced it a bit and the thing snapped. They asked us to pay for it and we thought it was a bit rude and not justified. Never in any hotel we had such ask or reaction so we paid but we were really disappointing by this kind of behaviour.

IrelandThe apartment is not in the Artis Domus grounds, this was a surprise when checking in. However it is within one minute and actually has better views. you do have access to all the facilities on the grounds. the apartment is on the fourth floor of the neighbouring building. there is an elevator and the apartment block is clean and quiet. The kitchen facilities are poor if you intend to eat in, No kettle or toaster etc.
Very spacious apartment. Cleaners would come every day. The view from the wrap around balcony over the bay of Naples is spectacular! each bedroom has a door out onto the balcony also. Two bathrooms with showers was very useful with a family. The breakfast was lovely, in a gazebo setting on the grounds. The pool area is very modern, clean and comfortable. the pool is quite shallow, 50cm maybe, but very nice and the furniture is excellent. The garden grounds are lovely too.

DenmarkWe had an 20 month old with us and some of the basics you would expect in a hotel, e.g. cot (if not for free then at a reasonable price) and a high chair for breakfast were either not available or overpriced. Also, breakfast starts late (for people with young kids anyway) and the kitchen closes just before dinner).
Classy little hotel at an awesome location. Basically everything in Sorrento is in walking distance. Amazing staff, super accommodating and always ready to help. The pool is small but amazing. Shout out to Antonella for helping out in any situation.

United KingdomWe booked 4 nights at the Artis Domus Relais at the end of July. It's right on one of the main streets of Sorrento with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. We were contacted shortly before arriving via WhatsApp to confirm our arrival time. When we arrived, we were actually a couple of hours early but the amazing Antonella checked us in and took.us to our room. We had booked an apartment as there were 4 of us (my wife and I and our two kids (10 & 12). It was on the 4th floor (there's a lift) and was lovely with three bedrooms; a single, and double sofa bed and double bed, each with air con. There were two bathrooms, each with a shower, and a kitchen and living area. However, the balcony was the best feature as it wraps around three sides of the building with great views of the sea. The apartment wasn't actually part of the main building, but was in an apartment block next door. Whilst it was great, we were hoping to be in the main hotel. During our stay we had use of the pool as well as 10% off spa treatments. We took full advantage of the former but not the latter. Antinella would bring drinks to the pool (without us even having to get out) and said we could put orders in via WhatsApp but that felt like it would be rude of us to do. Each morning breakfast was served between 8.30 and 10.00 in an outside space, which would be amazing if it weren't for the sweltering weather when we were there. Breakfast was a mixture of bread, cheese, ham, croissants, yoghurt, fruit and cakes but it would have been nice to see a bit more selection. We loved our stay here, Antonella was absolutely amazing, and the apartment great.
