How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewSuperbly situated -- 10 minutes (or less) walk from the station and 10 minutes' walk into the historic centre. Scrupulously clean and attractively decorated room, with a spacious bathroom, fridge, kettle and coffee machine, and a small balcony. The rooms were cleaned every day, coffee pods topped up, and bedding/towels replaced in the middle of our stay. A/C and Wifi both functioned perfectly. Everything is as it is described on the website: the few bad reviews the property received are clearly the result of people not being able to read or not bothering to research the place properly before arriving. Antonella is lovely and provided meticulous directions via WhatsApp for arrival and checking in. The locks to the rooms are unusual but really not at all hard to get the hang of. Come on, people!
Nothing, It was all great. Probably worth taking notice of the revised notice outside the lift which recommends a maximum of two people. It is quite small, and I wouldn't have wanted to test overloading it.

Verified reviewExtremely clean and well presented apartment. Just a short, safe walk right into the centre of Verona. Comfy beds ;)
Darker or heavier curtains would be helpful. There was voile across the windows but we prefer a darker room to support sleeping.

Verified reviewThe host was efficient and made contact prior to check in. We were able to check in a little earlier which was great. Check in was quick and easy. The host, Antonella, gave us helpful information on how to get to the city centre and popular sights to visit in and around the city. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and had sufficient space. Plenty of clean towels that were changed during our 4 day stay. Hospitality included water in the mini fridge and coffee. The air conditioning system worked well which was needed as Verona is hot in the summer. Daydreaming House is perfectly situated to get to the train and bus station (8 minute walk) and a 15 minute walk to the city centre. It is located in a quite area but it is really not far from all the sights so worked really well for our stay. Our stay was perfect and I would recommend a stay here if you are visiting Verona. Thank you Antonella.

Verified reviewGood communication, the hostess Antonella was patient and answered to all our questions. She gave us good recommendations for nice places to eat and for cheap parking near to appartement (7 euro per day). The room, the bedding and towels very clean, Nice balcony overlooking the square. There is a coffee machine and coffee capsules for the first morning. Nice 15 minutes walk to Arena and on the way we had a very nice breakfast in a small bistro "Café Alexander".
If you arrive by car, don't delay in paying immediately, because if you leave your car for a short time while looking for an apartment, you may be fined immediately. If you stay longer than one night and you préfère to have coffee in the room, you can bring your coffee capsules. There could be a mirror where we could see ourselves in full length.

Verified reviewSincerely grateful to Antonella for the time she gave me during check-in and recommendations for walking around the city. This was very useful to me. The apartment is located close to the station and the center, so there was no need to use transport or taxi. The room is neat, and the bedding is clean. The bed is comfortable. It was nice to find water in the refrigerator upon arrival. Coffee and tea are also available. The balcony in my room was small and overlooked the courtyard, but as for a short stay it was not a problem.
It would be good to have a shower mat in the bathroom as the floor is quite slippery.

Verified reviewThe location is perfect and it is cleaned every day. Enough space in the bathroom. Comfortable bad. I would stay there again in the future.
I asked for an iron but there wasn't any available. Everything else is fine.

Verified reviewThe accommodation is only a few minutes walk from both the station and the historical center, we also had a balcony with a nice view to enjoy a coffee in the morning, and the owner is extremely kind and helpful.
Since the rooms are on an apartment building's 4th floor, there's no possibility to store your luggage there at the end of your stay.

Verified reviewThe location was central to the train station and the centre of town. Antonella was very accommodating and allowed usto leave our bags before checkin so we could walk around. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable.
Not a dislike just a recommendation - a full length mirror would be nice in the room.

Verified reviewGood value for money. Less than 10 minutes walking distance to the central train station and the historic city center. Antonella was super helpful and available via WhatsApp :) A small minus was the low water pressure in the shower and that it took a long time for hot water to run.
