Bathrooms were a little dirty, and the Rooms got very hot but it is the middle of summer.

The location was great and was central to everything we needed. The host was welcoming. We didn’t experience bed bugs during our stay. Felt safe in the location.

Pre-arrival communication was very poor: despite multiple messages through Booking and a formal request to change the check-in time, the host did not reply for weeks, leaving us very anxious. We only received a response on the day of arrival, after landing in Italy. This caused a lot of stress, especially after reading a review from guests who had been locked out for arriving late. The room cleaning seemed superficial: we found hairs on the floor and a lot of dust under the bed and in the corners, clearly not cleaned for some time. The pillows were very thin and didn’t provide proper neck support. Although the bathrooms were always available when we needed them, they seemed to be cleaned only once during our 9-night stay. The shower didn’t consistently provide hot water, which was quite uncomfortable—even in warmer weather. The building is old and everything is noisy (doors, elevator, plumbing), but our room was a bit more isolated, so noise wasn’t a big issue. We were very concerned about recurring reports of bedbugs. We brought insect repellent and took precautions. Thankfully, we didn’t get bitten, but we did find one bug on the floor near the end of our stay. This could worry future guests and should be addressed seriously by the host. Summary: The accommodation has a great location and excellent price, but seriously lacks in communication, cleanliness, and maintenance. With some basic improvements and better attention from the host before check-in, it could become a much more reliable and stress-free option.

The location is excellent: in the Esquilino district, about a 10-minute walk from Termini Station, with easy access to trains, metro, and the Leonardo Express to the airport. Getting there by taxi is simple, as there is a fixed fare from the airport. Although basic, the accommodation is on the seventh floor of an old building, and it felt safe overall. The room was simple but spacious enough for two guests. The bed was comfortable and it included a fan, a small heater, a TV, a dresser, a table, and a chair. Wi-Fi worked well throughout the stay. The host, Paolo, was very friendly and welcoming in person, and assured us that we could contact him via WhatsApp if needed.

The building is pretty old so it appears that the room is not clean, but actually it is old and little moldy. Doors are old so it can be noisy at night when other guests arrive.

Location is great and the host was really nice and answered all messages right away. He also let us leave our luggage between check out and our flight, which meant a lot. I would come back again, value for the money is really good.

Free wine was good. Place wasn't too clean and was a bit out of the way. Walls are very thin so you can always hears neighbours and doors being opened and closed.

The things were kind of old and not very conserved, the shower specially, which was loosing water.

The location and the owner was very good. Paolo was so nice and gave us great recommendations for eating places.

They do clean and hygene is not that bad for a hostel but just some small investments could make the place more palatable, like new shower curtains and making light switches safe (the one in the small bathroom is completely exposed). Heating was only working for a day and then it was turned off. I informed the owner but got no response. Luckily, no bed bugs like some guests were complaining...but it was cold so they were probably hybernating 🤣

The owner is very nice and accommodating. He really tries and runs over to help if needed. Location is great.

There was however an big problem with ventilation; the wall adjacent to the shared bathroom was wet & the private bathroom that came with this room, was full of mold. It also smelled very much like mold. I didn’t feel at ease getting myself ready in there breathing in those fumes (so i didn’t). The accommodation is also very noisy as it is just an appartement divided into rooms by regular inside doors. I didn’t really mind but something to keep in mind if you’re someone who does :)

The host was very friendly & helpfull. The location was fantastic. The sheets, towels and floor were clean. The bed good (but with a dusty bedframe).

The property didn’t have air con so was very stuffy. It had a ceiling fan that didn’t cool the room down at all. The toilet leaked and the big bathroom always smelt like urine. The shower curtains was dirty and needed replacing.

The property is on the 7th floor so the lift is great. The host was welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and bright. There are also 2 bathrooms.

Lack of kitchen in the apartment. Very thin walls - you can hear almost everything at night. There is no shelf in the room and one chair in double room. Apartament wasn't super clean and needs refreshment.

I was waiting around 10 minutes in the shower waiting for warm water. You could here anyone staying at this hostel and the plugs in our bedroom were broken.

Well, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I liked. I want start off this is an honest review and I stayed all nights, this is accomodation is not fancy in anyway and is a place to sleep and go to the toilet that is it. 1. Paoulo is fantastic and friendly. 2. Mattress is thin and the bed makes alot of noise. 3. Walls are extremely thin, so you can hear a mouse fart 4 rooms over. Could do with trying to stop sound travelling all the way through every door. Make sure doors close quietly. 4. The shower leakes water on the floor. The bathroom was flooded numerous times. 5. As an electrician this place is a violation of all electrical health and safety most plugs come off the wall, when unplugging light switches in the bathrooms are both broken, especially with water on the floor, is a real concern. 6. There is a dust all on the window sills 7. One thing pillow didn't make for a comfy time. A couple each would make things alot nicer. 8. No complimentary shampoo. 9. Bit dirt all round I hope Paoulo reads this and takes it on board as constructive because this has the potential to be a nice place if a few measures are taken. As a summary if I was desperate, I would use this as a place to sleep. For 30-35£ a night. As this is near to everywhere you'd like to go. But it offers very little in the way of comfort.

The owner Paoulo was lovely. Very nice man. The location is perfect for a stay in Rome. It was warm There was a few reports for bed bugs in other reviews, I found no such thing in my room.

This accommodation not as same as in the pictures. The walls’re moldy, the doors had apparently been broken in a few times before, didn’t get bed sheets, and we shared the bed with plenty of bugs as we got lots of bites. Looks they don’t care too much about the cleaning. Don’t think this acommodation worth this price. The location’s good and the staff’s nice but that’s all! We would like to get a compensation!! We had planned to stay for 4 nights, however had to leave on our second night at midnight after finding bed bugs on our belongings. We inspected the mattress and found thousands of eggs and mould, as well as more bugs. The couple in the room next to ours also found bed bugs in their room at the same time. We had been reading the reviews and hoped the bugs had been dealt with, as the booking was non refundable, but there is a major infestation. Do not stay here, it was the most horrible part of our trip and ruined Rome for us, as we had to spend the next few days treating our clothes and bags to eradicate the bugs, and have dealt with a huge number of bites on our bodies. The most disgusting part is the host is ignoring our messages about the bugs, putting profits above the health of people staying there.
