Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwedenThe accommodation is a great budget-friendly option in Verona. The room is a bit dated, but it has everything you need. The WiFi is incredibly good, allowing for seamless movie streaming in the evenings. The accommodation is well located, with several bus lines nearby and about a 20-minute walk to the city center. There is a shared kitchen available for guests to use. The host was very helpful and answered all my questions, always providing feedback within a few minutes.

United StatesRooms are quite small and as a result get very warm while sleeping, and there didn't seem to be a way to turn on the air conditioning. There are no outlets immediately accessible from the bed.
Easy communication, comfortable bed, a desk, nice armoire, and well-supplied kitchen

GermanyIt is a little bit noisy from the street but at night the traffic calms down and there are external blinds which keep out the noise effectively.
The room was very clean, modern and the beds were comfortable. It is located in a living area and we enjoyed not being directly in the touristic area. It's only a 15 minutes walk to were the old city centre starts. To the arena it's a longer walk, but there is a bus which takes you there very quickly. Grocery shopping is near by. The shared kitchen was clean and well equipped. The host was very friendly and always available.

IrelandLocation a little far from the centre but I knew that when I booked.
I had my own room with a bathroom which as a budget traveller used to sharing bedrooms/bathrooms is heaven. The lady owner was very nice. There is a supermarket very close by as well as a couple of restaurants Very safe walking around at night. Bus stop nearby with buses to the bus/train stations

United KingdomVery nice place to stay, very good value for the money, the room was clean and tidy, there was no problem with my late check in, the host gave me good instructions for how to reach the place by car and even waited for me outside! I strongly recommend! It's very close to the centre of Verona, walkable distance around 8-10 minutes from one of the town bridges, very close to the central square! Just bare in mind to pre- book a taxi, if you arrive at the train station, otherwise you'll not be able to catch one at the street.

United KingdomNothing could have been better.
Everything. I booked the room in a hurry so I don't remember the description on Booking.com. I hadn't noticed there was a shared kitchen, or that breakfast was included. Spacious and well appointed room and bathroom. Very well equipped kitchen. Everything tidy and spotless. Marina is an excellent host. Great source of information about Verona and if you ask her something she doesn't know she'll find out and tell you, including bus timetables. The morning after I arrived was my birthday. Marina turned up with a cake and a big smile wishing me a happy birthday. So kind and friendly. The flat is in a pleasant, leafy, quiet residential neighbourhood, a twenty five minute comfortable walk off the Historic Centre. For those who don't care to, or can't walk much of a distance, there are plenty of buses that run regularly to and from the Centre, there are taxis, too.. I will stay at ARCOBALENO when I next go to Verona. Hopefully next year to see "Aida" in the magnificent Arena di Verona. Who knows, I might find my Romeo too.

UkraineIt's very important to inform Marina when you arrive - otherwise you won't get into the apartment. I texted her while leaving airport and she met me near the building with keys what was just perfect!
1. Incredibly hospitable, kind and friendly owner Marina 2. Location - it took me just 7 minutes by foot through the beautiful living area to get the nearest bridge to the old city. There are also several stops of public transport in front of the building 3. The accommodation is not large but in very good condition and keeping very clean 4. There is a small common kitchen with all the necessary cookware and equipment. Each room has own shell in the fridge. Marina kindly provides her guests with tea, coffee, sugar and even some cookies and jam

United KingdomNothing really to dislike apart from the distance to the centre of Verona which is the reason the apartment is reasonably priced. You can walk in 20 minutes or take an electric hire scooter for less than two Euros per trip
Marina, the hostess spoke English and was most helpful. She runs a delightful and well managed three apartment business with supermarket nearby. There was a share kitchen with refrigerator and cooking facilities including provision of essential cooking ingredients.

The equipment is sufficient for 2 nights, you have a clean private bathroom and a shared kitchinette with equipment for basic cooking.
