Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CroatiaThe hosts were friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was self service, Italian breakfast with toast, crostatine, croissant from the supermarket, marmelade, coffee, milk, Fruit yoghurt. Maybe we are not use to it, so we bought ourselves some ham, cheese, regular yoghurt. The little balcony was real nice. Great Location near tram, metro, close to Vatican.

Czech RepublicNearly nothing. The street is not very busy ,but the pub across has closing time around midnight. It could be felt as disturbing detail, but in fact, compared with other places across Italy, here was the situation very good-only people in friendly communication-the level of noise is tolerable.
Perfect situation on the border between residential and tourist quarter. Clean and bright room with shower and own toilet. Very enthusiastic owner of B&B, lift, infrastructure (shops and restaurants) close to the building. Daily serviced stock of the breakfast ingredients in the fridge and shelf. Shared kitchen.

TurkeySince the apartment is made from a larger flat divided into rooms, we expected some small issues. For example, when the next room uses the AC or hot water, you can hear some noise. If you're used to sleeping in a very quiet place like we are, you may notice it—but it wasn’t a big problem for us.
The location is calmer than the city center, and it feels more like a real neighborhood. We liked that. The kitchen had enough for breakfast, and you can get more things from a nearby market if you want. Since the apartment is made from a larger flat divided into rooms, we expected some small issues. PortugalThey gave us a room that was still being used (had clothes on the wardrobe). We had a guided tour booked for that day and while we were going to the location the host called us, telling that they gave us the wrong room and asking to come back and exchange keys. The host even mentioned that we could get some sort of discount to make it up for us. We went back and almost missed our guided tour, but the host never told us nothing about that discount or wtv to make it up for the inconvenience. The street is not that quiet at night, there is a small bar/cafe that is open until late night and people tend to be a bit loud on the outside. Had to wear earplugs to sleep.
Location is really good. 15-20min from the Vatican and 10 from the metro station. A lot of small supermarkets, restaurants, shops around. The room was very nice, clean and spacious. The mattress is VERY good. The breakfast is good although is pretty much suggary products and there is no fruit available but the coffee is great. One good point is that the food portion for the day is available for you all day, not only for breakfast. There is a kitchen and you can also cook something if you want, just like home.

United Arab EmiratesStory time. My first encounter with Paolo seemed inhospitable - as I was preoccupied with some thoughts and what to ask - when he said something about me, “Are you okay?”, implying that my focus was somewhere else. I also mentioned something about “having our breakfast outside” - initially, I meant outside the property, which isn’t the case; clearly I had mistaken it for some other hotel I have booked. He could have easily say - that it’s not the case - but he retorted something like: “are you truly okay?is there something wrong (with you)?” Truthfully, in person, this encounter seemed kind of rude. Well, as a Property Manager - one should consider that Your guests are: 1. Incredibly tired, 2. In a foreign land, probably overwhelmed and somehow confused. 3. not truly sure if you speak English - thus pulling out all the italian words she can pull from her brain just to speak to you. This our 19th day in our Family European travel. I was dead tired and overwhelmed, with 2 kids in tow. The rest of the stay seemed fine and dandy. We subsequently stayed and booked for another 5 nights after this booking in Arches. As I have said - we loved the property 😀 Needless to say - we adore our vacation in this property. Paolo eventually warmed up to us - and made sure we have food and milk. Fridge was filled with pastry, dairy and breakfast stuff. Pantry was stocked up and complete. He asked us how we were, whenever we saw him. We had a total of 6 night stay; and we enjoyed it. PS. But one thing - summer travels are challenging in Rome with mosquitoes! Bring citronella or mosquito blocks or something. I had to buy from Pewex as we were really uncomfortable because of it! We had to do something about it 🤷🏻♀️
We love the location, the size of the room and the surrounding area. Clean and tidy 😀 Very quiet and comfortable, yet our targeted places to visit are near enough on foot.

United KingdomThe room was a bit crammed and the additional single sofa bed very small. The double bed was very confortable and spacious but the bedding needs attention ( old pillows with no pillow protection cases which is not hygienic). The bathroom was also a bit tired and may need to be upgraded.
The property’s location is very convenient; proximity of the metro/ buses and just. 35/40mn walk to Campo Di Fiori and beyond or Trastevere. Nice local restaurants and shops. Free use of the kitchen and equipment is much appreciated. The cupboards we were allocated and fridge space were well stocked and we had everything we needed for breakfast.

FranceThe place is a bit dated like the rest of the Prati - and Rome is general. The refrigerator made nonstop noise (alarm) through 2 nights.
Paolo who checked us in is a very friendly person. The B&B is very conveniently located for a walk to Vatican. It is also very near the Ottaviano Metro station that can take the Hotel's guest to most of the important sights in Rome. The room was quite spacious and the small balcony is the perfect place for breakfast.

Czech RepublicNoisy climatisation from other room. Absence of washingmashine... But I guess its usual to stay there for 2-3 days, not the whole week like we did :) Nothing else to brag about :)
The owner was very friendly, helpful and flexible. Thank you again! :) The balcony is supercute, we enjoyed sitting there every day. The room itself is nice. What was great was the level of cleanliness, and how often (and discreetly) our towels were changed. Basic daily breakfast supplies were a nice touch.

GreeceA little old utilities, bathroom needs some attention. WiFi was slow , because it was a 4g basic router that provide the connection. Room with no character. You have to prepare your own breakfast, for some people is good , for some difficult.
Good communication, located in a nice neighborhood close to Vatican. Spacious room but with no character. Supplies for breakfast were generous but basic, but I enjoyed making breakfast for my family.
