Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Location is perfect, Cristina was so nice to us, she gave us a lot of recommendations, the room is clean and very spacious for two people. She was very attentive to us, we loved staying there! Thank you again Cristina!

Property location is fantastic, right in the centre and within walking distance to everything. Bear in mind this does mean it can be louder in the evenings.

I loved staying here. I only stayed for 1 night. It was a perfect location for me, easy to park the car, easy to walk around. Right outside are restaurants and coffee shops yet when you are in room you forget where you are. They let me check in early and I was greeted with the warmest welcome!! You can hear sounds from other rooms and neighbors but that is expected in a city. The sounds from the street are very minimal. I will stay here again when I return to Cagliari!

The Host was lovely and kind. Gave me lots of useful tips to go off and explore for the day. I would highly recommend this accommodation. So close to the station, bus stops, sea front and great location for food and drinks. The room was perfect! Clean, spacious and I couldn't really hear the restaurant outside. Loved this place :)))

We travel a lot and this was so much more than we expected! First of all, parking was just 2 minutes away, the host waited for us for an late check in with no problems at all - just sweet and kind and lots of laughs! Then the place itself is a rustic and completely and beautifully renovated place where you can see the love behind the details. On top of it - just on the adjacent main street, so you're just in the middle of the action - we really loved it :D

All was as it should be. I was not expecting anything more than what I got.
Very central amazing property, super clean and very comfortable bed. The kitchen has all sorts of tea and coffee is available for you to make.

My room was above the streets so unsurprisingly given the central location it was a bit nosy and needed ear plugs

This B&B in Cagliari is cozy and perfectly located, just 5 minutes from the main square. Cristiana and her husband are incredibly caring hosts—the best we've encountered during our travels. The area is vibrant with great restaurants, bars, and gelato shops. Convenient paid parking is available around the corner for about 15 euros a day. The flexibility of an early check-in after a delayed flight and being able to leave our bags for a few hours post-check-out was truly appreciated. Highly recommend for a delightful stay!

Breakfast didn’t have a lot of variety, basically yogurt and pastries.
You can’t beat the location of this hotel. Step out your door and you are on the walking street yet the rooms were quiet. As a female traveller I always felt safe walking around the area. You are a few blocks from the train station so accesible public transportation to the airport . You definitely don’t need a vehicle in this area.

I wish my stay at this incredible place had been longer.
Valerio and Christiana were so so sweet and accommodating. They went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and gave me advice on where to visit and eat in the city.
