How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Everything was perfect for us.
The location was excellent. Near the facilities and a short walk to the train station and beach. Quiet location. Perfect for exploring the Cinque Terre and away from the crowds. Lovely resort.

The kitchen arrangement was strange. The kettle and toaster could only be used on top of the refrigerator or the washing machine as they were the only places where the power points were located.
We liked being in Levanto where it was quiet, not very touristy, close to the ocean and not too far from Cinque Terre.

Awesome stay...apartment itself is huge with absolutely everything you need. Well located right near the beach, groceries and restaurants. Staff who managed our check in were really lovely and helpful with train timetables, ferries etc We stayed 3 nights, would love to stay longer next time.

No complaints
The location was great, near the beach at Levanto, and not far from the railway station for visiting Cinque Terre. It was a big apartment on the third floor with a small sea view but very quaint, typical Italian. Plenty of restaurants, food places and supermarkets near by. Highly recommend.

Well-equipped apartment with an amazing view of beautiful Levanto. The apartment is clean, spacious and in a great location. The owner was very nice and helpful. We traveled with children. We were all very pleased. Cinqe Terre is wonderful! It was sad to leave. Best regards :)

Everything! Our hostess met us right there. She went over, and above, to make sure we had everything from a local map, to full explanation of how every worked and what to do, if and when, we needed something during our stay. There were supplies and everything was clean and comfortable. The terrace and view to the ocean was beautiful.

No air conditioning, only 2 fans. Second bedroom very cramped. Kitchen was also cramped with no storage space for our food. The balcony was not safe for a toddler so we had to keep the doors closed. External lights in the building made for very bright rooms at night.
A small apartment in a large block. We had views to the ocean and it was a convenient 15 minute walk to the train station. The washing machine was handy.

It was a short distance to walk into town. Maybe a little further than expected but still easily walked. It is just a little out of the action.
The check in staff were fabulous. The apartment view was lovely. You could easily walk straight to the waterfront. The apartment was well furnished and very clean. The washing machine was very helpful. Overall a great apartment with stairs and a lift. I would feel nervous with children under three on the balcony as it is high.

1st bedroom brilliant, big, bright, by balcony, loads of storage, only possible downside to apt is the 2nd bedroom, while perfect for sleep, has no storage, however there's plenty in other bedroom
Great from the check in experience and check out, super helpful staff to the apt views, distance to train, town and beach Comfy beds, nice towels, v clean, great to have 2 bathrooms with good mirrors and plugs

Tough to get good night sleep. The king mattress is lumpy and has ridges. Sheer curtains that let in light in the bedroom and the hallway light lit up the apartment (window over door and kitchen into hall). The washing machine would not turn on. Perhaps operator error but difficult to figure out. TV would not connect to streaming dongle (fire stick).
The balcony and view was wonderful. The bird song every morning was great to wake up to. Spacious and well equipped kitchen. Even though it was not comfortable to sleep I'd stay again for the view and location.

We loved the apartment but, I think adding soft fluffy towels (the towels were very clean but harsh and not soft) Also the bed was a little uncomfortable for us. These things would've been fabulous but it wouldn't stop us booking again.
The apartment had plenty of space and not too far from everything including the train station. It was a good apartment
