Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomHappy with everything
The apartment was very spacious the location was great, the view to the lake was stunning, i would say you need a car if you want to be able to visit more places if you are restricted to ferry times can be a little annoying but still doable, stayed in Dec/Jan for new years eve be mindful there is nothing open in Tremezzo itself hardly any shops and no restaurants but if you have a car this is not an issue.

AustraliaFurnishings were a little dated. Car parking a bit challenging, but we were aware in advance and parked further up the road.
This apartment is all about the location! The views overlooking Bellagio and Lake Como at night were incredible, especially at sunset. Restaurants directly underneath, and ferry stop only a few minutes walk. Also it is an extremely spacious apartment with its own separate laundry, a big plus for us. Our host was so lovely too. We were running late and she stayed back to meet us.

United KingdomThe car parking was difficult because it is metered and restricted to 2 hours maximum between 9am and 7pm. At present there is free parking about a km along the road (possibly because the Grand Hotel Cadenabbia is undergoing renovation). Spaces only become available fairly infrequently. Tremezzo is a bustling place with restaurants, a few shops, lake steamer service (now diesel engined) boat hire, bus service etc. The main road runs between the apartment and the lake and consequently there is a lot of noise that goes on through the night. Some might find this disturbing but it is an inevitable part of the location and we found it quite acceptable.
Excellent location with as good a view of one of the prettiest parts of the lake as there is and close to the steamer berth and Villa Carlotta. The large balcony, with electrically operated sun awning and table and chairs, is perfect for relaxing with a drink while enjoying the lake, mountains views and the activities in the street and on the lake. The apartment is an old building with tiled and stone sett floors and shuttered windows but is well appointed.

We really had a wonderful stay at Appartamento Helvetia. The apartment is clean, functional and thoughtfully furnished with all basic amenities, including a washing machine. It is very close to many restaurants, ferry points and bus stations and has a stunning view of the lake and the promenade. We ate at the restaurant Helvetia (below the apartment) on 2 nights and found the food to be absolutely delicious. Our hostess, Ivana was friendly and very helpful too. On the whole, great value for money .... Strongly recommend.

United StatesStreet noise very loud but could have worn earplugs. Not enough garbage cans in the apartment. Nothing that would keep me from staying there again though!
Spectacular veranda with great views over the water that we sat on any chance we had. Nice bathroom/bedrooms. French doors to the veranda from living room and bedroom.

United StatesThere was no air conditioning. I didn’t realize that when we booked it, I’m pregnant and that was a little rough but it cooled down a bit they provide fans and we left the doors open to get a breeze. If you don’t need AC then this shouldn’t be a problem!
You can beat the views!

CanadaIt could use a coffee machine or press for early morning risers.
There was no breakfast included with this rental. Though not expected. However the apartment had everything one would need to make there own meals. The Halvetia Bar is below and serves coffee and breakfast items after 8am. The Halvetia is also a great place for lunch or dinner. Or the Glam Café is 100m from the apartment and also serves a wonderful coffee and croissant. The owners were friendly, generous and helpful. All (pre-check in) email inquires to the hosts were responded to within hours. The shower is ultra modern and provided a lovely experience. The location provides easy access to all transportation. A great local to explore from.

AustraliaHaving a number of rooms separated by a corridor, there needs to be more than just one rubbish bin ... maybe in the bathroom? Bed was less firm than we prefer. Great shower, once the hot water eventually flowed.
This apartment ticked all our boxes: SO close to lake ferries, spacious with kitchen and washing machine, bedroom lake views and many coffee & eating options within 10 min. walk. We had a great time and appreciated our hosts' availability in the bar below.

FranceNot for you if you are a light sleeper ! Very very noisy 'cause of the road just in front of the flat. Some creepy crawlers in the apartment.
The lake view, ferries near the flat and owners very very kind ! The flat is big enough for a family and nice balcony is a good point.

IsraelIf you are staying in Lake Como you need to have parking included. I had the filter for free parking selected and yet the host informed me that the parking is not free, you need to pay between 9 am - 6pm. OK fine, this is Italy there is nothing free here, but the parking is only for 3 hours max which is not time enough to do anything. But this was consistent throughout all of Lake Como not just Tremezzo. There was supposed to be hiking trails, what a joke. Your hike is on the side of the very narrow road where people consistently drive 50 kms over the 50km limit, so enjoy the hike, taking your life in your hands. There is nothing green at all, just car exhaust. I have 2 children between 7-9 I would be a negligent parent if I even considered this "hike". Of course I never bothered to try the hike as I could see the road from the car and I didnt want us to die on the road.
The view from this apartment at sunrise was exquisite. Many restaurants within 100 metres, very close to the ferry station.
