How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nothing, everything was great
Amazing apartment, the host is amazing, she's extremely helpful and friendly. A focaccia as a welcome gift was a very pleasant touch. The apartment is right in the centre close to everything. What is more it is extremely large. The bed was very comfy, there is AC in every room, we couldn't ask for more.

Everything was perfect. Apartment very fresh and comfortable, with balcony for long night relaxing. Just a few steps from all necessary locations. Perfect place to stay if you want to visit Portofino. Parking place is the plus. House host was very friendly and helpful.

A minor issue for us bit could be more important for others - a toilet is combined with the bathroom.
The host was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is clean and comfortable. Airco in each room. The location is excellent, in the centre close to everything. A short walk to the beach, bus, ferry and train station.

Lots of space for family of five, fantastic location close to wonderful restaurants and cute little old town, own parking lot. Very helpful host and super clean.

The room with the single beds was noisy but we moved one bed to the large living room which was quiet.
Owner immediately got help to set the A/C and the A/C worked exceptionally well in all rooms for the week. The rooms had high ceilings and a great sense of space The shutters The owner's friendliness Closeness to the station and centre

Could use some more hooks in the bathroom, but there was a wire on the balcony. The elevator is very small, but enough to carry the lugagge.
The apartment was huge, very clean and easily accesible with an elevator. The location was close to the beach, to restaurants and the city center, to a supermarket, bakery and other small shops. The host was very friendly and helpful. Overall an excellent place to spend your holiday.

The property is spacious having a nice living room with a small balcony, a kitchen, and bedroom and bathroom with nice shower. There is even a washing machine if needed. It is a five minute walk to the main waterfront and also the ferry terminal. There are many restaurants there as well. We had a car with us and were able to reserve a spot in their garage located not even a 1/2 block away. Maria has been a wonderful host and we thank her.

If you're a light sleeper don't use twin room.

Internet is bad. Simply it drops out every few minutes and you need to search spot where it will work decently. If you don't have good data plan this can be a problem.
Apartments are very comfortable, location is good for base if you are visiting towns in nearby. Clean and it has everything what you need, not noisy. We opted for closed parking garage, which was extra cost. Recommending this options, since public parking is very limited, even in offseason.

The bathroom is on the small side and the walls are quite thin - we would hear neighbours late at night quite clearly. We still enjoyed our stay though.
Maria Christina was very welcoming and provided us with all of the information we needed. the apartment felt very homely, clean and comfortable. The location is amazing, only a very short walk to the centre of town and the Port. We would stay again.
