How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Location to the metro was perfect and the Duomo was a 5 minute walk. Was a little difficult to find when we arrived but we got directions. Lovely little cafe called Peters bar across the street best fresh squeezed OJ and panini very reasonable prices.

The oven didn't work - wasn't a big issue for us
Perfect apartment for a family to stay! Beautiful and clean. Great facilities in the kitchen for cooking. Everything you need. The bathroom had a washing machine that was very useful for us. The shower had hot water. More than enough beds for a family of 4 (2 teenagers, 2 adults). Lots of room for relaxing and getting ready. Fantastic location, close to all tourist attractions. Friendly staff and lovely host who communicated well and helped us with some hiccups. We would definitely stay here again 10/10

No kettle for tea, the electric hob heats the water very slowly, the sofa bed in the living room was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Apart from that everything else was at a high level. Thank you

Upgraded pillows would enhance the property greatly. Also providing hand soap and body wash would be helpful.

A little bit difficult to find the apartment. You can reach the city center in 10 minutes by walk. Also you can use Massori subway station to reach the center. Its far from central station. You have to use subway from there.

The furniture in the apartment is quite old. The windows do not isolate the noise well and you could hear the tram that passes every 15 minutes until midnight.
The apartment was about 3-4 minutes from Milan Cathedral and the square. There was parking nearby, although it was expensive. There were many nice restaurants nearby.The apartment was quite warm for winter.

Last guest turned boiler off so when we wanted hot shower, needed turn on and wait hours.
New and clean. 7min walk to Duomo. Less than 2 minutes to Metro. Tip: Excellent value and tasty Ice & Coffee shop beside Metro entrance, had many breakfast there.

The apartment was a bit worn out, furniture and kitchen equipment and cutlery etc needs some updating. No toilet seat cover/ring. Problems with electricity, the owner/manager did not answer to our calls/messages when we had a power break at the apartment and never called/messaged back to us.
Very good location in the center of Milan, short walk to Duomo and other attractions, shopping etc. Lots of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants just around the corner.

TV and Wifi dropped out for half of our stay

It’s very dated and could do with a refurb. We had booked a flat that was advertised as having 3 beds, which is vital to us as we have 2 teenagers of different genders, when we got there is was 2 doubles, so incorrectly advertised. The agent rapidly found a double mattress and made up an extra bed on the floor, so we wee ok, but it was not as advertised and could have been a major problem. The hot water supply is limited, so you can’t all have consecutive showers, and there is no door or curtain on the shower.
It’s a really spacious flat, with small kitchen , so you can self cater. Great location, minutes’ walk from the Duomo. Big windows and lots of storage space for a longer stay.
