Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomA building with a very historical atmosphere, located near Ravello. The most amazing thing is the warm and friendly staff, who provided us with a wealth of tourist information. The breakfast was also very good. Highly recommended.

GermanyThis hotel is like a perfect Refugium when you want to have some silence days / nights after the crowded time in Amalfi or Positano. A really great place like in an old castle. Katia and her team are such a good host . they inform you about everything brillantly and give you a very good time there. I can highly recommend!

We stayed for a week at B&B Antico Episcopio and everything was simply perfect! Our host made sure we always had fresh sheets and towels throughout our stay, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The view from our room was truly breathtaking. A special mention for our host, who was always available to give us great advice on buses, excursions, and hiking trails, and who really listened to what we were looking for. The location of the B&B is ideal for anyone wanting to discover Amalfi away from the crowds: there are many hiking paths starting directly from the B&B. There’s also a bus stop just a few meters away to go down to the center, or for the more adventurous, you can take the stairs down to town. In general, the buses run on time and it’s quite easy to get around. Nearby, there’s a small bar where you can also grab a bite, and two restaurants serving pasta and pizza. I especially recommend Antico Borgo: the view is spectacular and it’s a beautiful, romantic setting for dinner. Overall, we had an amazing experience and I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast!

United Arab EmiratesNothing, all was great.
It was genuinely the most beautiful stay I have had in many years. the simplicity of the place and the village made it even more special. You have everything you need and it is was impeccably clean. Katia was incredibly caring and will invest her time in making your trip a memorable one with lots of recommendations. It was easy accessible via bus, car and by foot from Amalfi. It's a tough walk up some stairs but definitely manageable. I loved being in the centre of it all while still being away from the crazy crowds, expensive and missing parking spots in the main towns.

TaiwanCompared to those expensive hotels in Amalfi coast, this hotel is quite affordable, with its high quality and perfect view. The lady in the reception was really nice and friendly, helping us to figure out the time schedule for our trip in the Amalfi area and providing every information we need. All necessities were prepared and the room was spacious! There were lots of choices for breakfasts, nearly all you can eat buffet but they will ask for guests' selection in advance to avoid wasting. That's really nice!! It is not so convenient location in fact, but if you follow the bus time, transportation would not be a big problem.

United KingdomNone.
Where should I start? L'Antico Episcopio has exceeded my expectation in every aspect. It's clean, airy with a comfortable bed and lovely view. I'm mostly impressed with how well-equipped it is! (Very well thought through, someone has clearly considered all the needs of guests in different seasons!) The breakfast is the best I've had in Italy (from my dozens visits) and prepared with great care. A special shout to Katia, the manager of the property, who is clearly passionate about her job. She is so kind and helpful, and as a local, she can provide some insider's tips from restaurants to things to see and do. Yes, Pontone may be 986 steps to walk up from Almalfi but it's quiet and charming. It can be reached by bus to Scala though less frequent comparing to the service to Ravello. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and can not wait to be back!

The rooms were spacious and very well presented. We were impressed at how clean everything was. Amazing views of Amalfi from the bedroom. Location suited us perfectly as we had a family event in the local church.

NetherlandsGetting there can be tricky, reception explains everything really well but I highly recommend getting familiar with local buses and their times and plan the stay around it or you’ll end up hiking with your luggage (as we did).
Staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Views from our window were amazing and the overall stay was perfect. It is not in Amalfi but in a small picturesque town were everyone is very kind. Recommendations from reception were amazing, specially San Giovanni was absolutely delicious
