How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe property, located in the old town of Bari, was perfect! It was close to historical sights and the great ambience among the shops, bars and restaurants. The room was really lovely with a comfortable bed, good shower and kitchen facilities were adequate with a fridge and great little expresso machine! I loved this place!

We have found some hair on the sheet but they did not care and alleged that the sheets were washed. It seemed washed but the hairs belongs to personel or they put the sheets on the ground before bed.

I’ve stayed at many places over the years, but this one truly stands out as the best experience I’ve ever had. The hosts were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. They went out of their way to make sure I felt at home, offering great local recommendations and ensuring every detail was just right. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable—like a boutique hotel but with a personal touch. The bed was heavenly, and I slept better than I have in months. Every corner of the place reflected thoughtfulness and care. And the breakfast—wow! Fresh, locally sourced, and absolutely delicious. Whether it was homemade pastries, perfectly cooked eggs, or freshly brewed coffee, everything was prepared with love and served with a smile. I honestly looked forward to breakfast each morning. Verified reviewThe room was spotless and a had beautiful look to it. Loved having a balcony, and the shutters gave me a perfect sleep. Great location, 2 stops from train station and right across road from the tram stop. Very reasonable mini bar prices too
Big step down into room, we we were worried we would forget and hurt ourselves Really think there should be a step. Shower was similar, it was a higher than average step into it. **These were more noticeable than usual because I have hurt my knee, so not 100% mobile.

Verified reviewEverything was clean, the room had everything I needed and the bed was really comfortable. Very easy to use the tram to get into Florence centre. Breakfast was good, with good options.
the only issue I had was traffic noise on Saturday and Sunday evening but to be honest there is not a lot you can do, other than take earplugs.

Verified reviewGood value for your money, price included breakfast. There’s an elevator in the building which is helpful. Rooms had AC which is essential in the summer. Host was super friendly and hospitable. I love that about Italian people! They treat you very well :)

Do NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY, NOT WORTH IT !! They are keeping pork and other items in same dishes. They opened our room when we are not there without notifying us and when we noticed our items are not in same place and we confronted to owner then owner passed rude comments saying etc etc as we are non Italian speakers, received very bad hospitality when we are in foreign land .
Dear Rafeeuddinn, you arrived after the check-in closed and in the morning you were not in the room and you had not put the do not disturb sign. We called you to know where you were and if you wanted to have breakfast, since you did not answer we opened the room (we are also required to do so for security reasons). We didn't touch anything, we just closed the windows and emptied the trash, when you answered you said not to come in but it had been hours since our first phone call and sorry if we entered our property! In the morning at checkin you didn't want to pay the tax, you showed us a reservation in another city where you would have paid less because it was a 1 night stay. For breakfast you told us that you are vegetarian only in the morning during breakfast, if there is pork for other guests we don't see the problem! One should first evaluate one's own education instead of judging others only! Best regards Simone

Overall, terribile. On my final day I returned to my room to find my door wide open with a set of staff keys in the lock. A weak apology and no reply after I complained. The air conditioning was faulty. I messaged the owner (who I never met during my 4 night stay) but didn’t receive a reply. I didn’t have any towels on my last day and no soap in the bathroom on my last two days. When I questioned the short window for breakfast (8-10) and asked if it was possible to have an early breakfast I refeived (via WhatsApp) a set of emoji fingers. A very rude owner who doesn’t know how to run a B&B correctly. I would never stay here again.
Dear Mark, our facility has timetables, clearly specified on this site and in the instructions you find in the room, if you want to leave in the morning before breakfast and you let us know in the evening at 7pm it is clear that we will not meet. You just had to let us know in advance and we would have accommodated you with the tray in the room. AC works, is it that you don't know how to use it or that you are not too sober? The towels like in the rest of the world just throw them on the floor and we change them, moreover you were alone and you had 2! assuming you were alone, judging from the condition you left the room in I don't know! the keys in the door, you are right in the rush to satisfy your request we left the pass par tout in the door, but as you saw nobody stole anything from you, if you had checked out after 7 am we would have apologized in person, WE ARE SORRY ANYWAY. Verified reviewImmaculately clean room and premises! Wonderful breakfast; made-to-order capuccino! Bathroom had ample space for toiletries and getting ready in the morning. Room had a wardrobe, desk, night stands w/ lamps, ample wall plug-ins.
It was a little far from Florence central. We walked, but it was a good 25 min. walk to, e.g., the Duomo. Nice walk - nice area.

Verified reviewThe place is located not far from the station Santa Maria Novella, only 2 stops from Alamanni so it's very strategic. The area is quite and we felt safe to walk even at night. The B&B itself is decorated nicely, clean, and looks classic. Then the room is enough for 2 people and our 2 luggages. We had our breakfast every morning that was prepared by the staff, who also clean our room every day. We really did a good decision by choosing Antiche Armonie as a place to stay during our trip in Florence
