We stayed here for 4 nights and I cannot fault the experience. The hosts Daniele and Alessia went above and beyond to ensure that our stay in florence was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. On arrival Daniele messaged me to arrange a time for check in and once we arrived he gave us a tour of the guest house and gave us a map with some good restaurant recommendations and places to see. This was incredibly helpful as he also sent us the links to each of these restaurants. We stayed here for my partners birthday and they were incredibly kind and welcoming, they even gifted my partner a bottle of prosecco for his birthday! The rooftop terrace was by far the highlight of the holiday, the views were amazing and it was well maintained. Me and my partner enjoyed spending every night of our holiday up on the rooftop taking in the spectacular views of florence. It’s in a great location really close to everything you would need in florence, it’s also amazing short walk away from the really busy bit making it quieter at night and more relaxing. On our final night we asked Daniele and Alessia if they would be able to reccomend a good restaurant to go to for my partners birthday dinner and they did not disappoint. They recommended a place called IQ and booked a table for us. It was a really amazing night and a great way to end our stay. If you are looking for somewhere to book in florence don’t hesitate in booking Antica Dimora Johlea guesthouse. To the hosts we cannot thank you enough for making our experience so memorable!

I was there during a heatwave and having a small bar fridge in the room for cold water would have made a huge difference. The shared living area was upstairs and not air conditioned.

The hosts are both lovely and provide a lot of useful information to help you find the things that interest you.

What a wonderful property & location. Guest house style. On arrival we were met by Daniele who provided a glass of bubbly and some excellent information on Florence. Particular attention was placed to local cafe’s & trattoria. The room was lovely , facilities wonderful and the roof terrance a lovely location for a quiet drink at night

Daniele was excellent with his communications before and during the stay, and took time out on our first morning to give us an excellent overview of Florence advising us on places to go, to eat, avoid, etc. This really set us off with confidence and helped us make the best of our 3 days in the city. The room was also larger than expected, four poster bed, great shower, rooftop terrace, good location with a great cafe (Lietta's) just 3 mins away with the best cappuccino and croissants we had in all our time travelling in Italy.

Very safe, convenient & quiet. Close to tram from train station. Everything within walking distance. The staff were very attentive and although the desk is not always manned -Jonas, Danielle and the rest of the staff were only a phone call away and responded quickly to any requests. The breakfast room was very well equipped and the roof terrace was a bonus.

The location of the accomodation is great and the rooftop terrace overlooking the city really gives you the vibe of the city. All the staff were very friendly and coomodating. I reccomend this plece and Ill stay there again when im in the towm.

Absolutely nothing, it was perfect

Amazing stay in this beautiful guesthouse. What a great find! Jonas welcomed us (had already been in touch with instructions before arriving so that made it very easy). The room exceeded our expectations, the guesthouse was beautifully decorated it was like a home away from home. The cherry on the cake was the rooftop and the fact that it was so centrally located, close to everything. We will definitely be back.

What an amazing place to stay. The staff could not have been more helpful providing great information about how to enjoy your visit to florance. They are more than happy to help with bookings and advice. The accommodation is superb with a lovely setting. Only 6 rooms makes the place family friendly. A gorgeous roof terrace provides amazing views over the city you won't get in many other places. Less than 5 minutes from the T2 tram and just 30 minutes direct from city airport make it easy access. Then 10 minutes walk and your in tha heart of the city. Who could ask for more.

Loved the greeting and being provided a map of the area and how to find our way around. There was no breakfast, however they do provide a FOC snack bar which was more than sufficient. The Double bed was actually 2 singles pulled together. But that was my only picky point. Their communication views on the terrace are great, where the local cat(s) do like to join you, although they’re not invited into the hotel. Their communication and wishing you a good stay were exceptional.

Great location, about 15 minutes to the Medici chapel, Duomo, Accademmia tc main, just slightly further to Uffizi. Alessia was so helpful and kind when we arrived giving us excellent advice about three city, she and Daniele were utterly lovely. The guest house is rustic, it has character and is not clinical but it was so much better for that. Couldn't fault anything at all.

Nothing really, although one of the recommendations was not great. If you're going- Trattoria Tiberio is not worth the visit- the staff are rude and the food is pretty basic. There are far nicer places in Florence. The location is about a 10 minute walk from the centre, which some people might not like- but worked very well for us.

We had a great experience from start to finish. A beautiful intimate guest house, with a lovely room and beautiful four poster bed. We loved the roof terrace, despite it being February, the views are incredible. Coffee makers in the room were a nice touch and we had excellent service from the couple running it, as well as some great recommendations. The indoor market is superb, I could have spent all day there!

We LOVED our stay at Veruska and Gianluca's Barberini dream! The breakfast was delicious everyday. The room was comfortable and the location was PERFECT. We walked everywhere or used the metro if we needed to get further and it was very convenient. Veruska was kind enough to book us a taxi to the place and it was very comfortable. She gave us amazing recommendations and also got the room cleaned everyday. We got free breakfast in bed along with unlimited coffee, tea and alcohol drinks from the mini fridge that was restocked everyday. There were also snacks and free vanity kits if needed. The room and bathroom were very beautifully designed! The shower had hot water and we had fresh towels whenever we needed. The area can get noisy on a Saturday night but it wasn't that bad at all. Veruska gave us earplugs if needed and also gave us a fan since it was a little warm in the room and that worked great. Overall 10/10 experience would highly recommend and we can't wait to come back to Rome and stay here again :)

Not sure if there is any lighting available over the building stairway. At night, it was pitch black dark and it was tricky to walk down the stairs.

Stayed 3 days mid December in a Single Room. Perfect size room for single traveller with 2-4 day itinerary. Warm, quaint, and cosy interior. 15 to 20 minutes walk to from central Piazza with numerous cafe and restaurants on the way. Separated far enough from the center to have generally quiet street. Front desk staff available 9-5 but very helpful - great recommendations on local restaurants and cafe. Great value for money.

Staff (Danielle and Alissa) are amazing and most helpful. Danielle gave us thorough overview of the property and after that some great suggestions for visiting Florence. Room was big and clean. Bathroom was also clean. We liked the bed as well. Daily housekeeping. Very nice terrace. Location is good. In a quiet and safe neighborhood. (20 minutes walk to Duomo). Few good restaurants nearby (2-5 minutes walk). Snacks are always available at property. When in Florence, this place is a great choice. Recommended.
