Wifi sometimes didn't work, but wasn't really a problem for us as we used our phone data

Our lovely host Martino was so friendly and helpful, good communication before and during our stay. On our arrival Martino took time to explain the various Matera attractions using Google translate and marked things on the local map for us. Due to hire car problems not of our making at Bari airport, we arrived well after the usual checkin time, but Martino kindly met us at the carpark opposite the accommodation and even rang ahead to a nearby restaurant and booked us a table for our evening meal. Our room was spacious with a large comfortable bed, a fabulous view and our own private patio. Breakfast was delicious with foccacia, cereals, yoghurt and fruits, as well as cold meats and cheese and tasty local bread and pastry. Marino was attentive with coffee and tea and happy to provide more tourist information if we needed it. I couldn't recommend it more.

The apartment is beautifully furnished and has a pleasant size. It is also spotlessly clean and doesn’t smell at all like a “cave.” Moreover, Martino is a charming host, gives tips for exploring the city, and genuinely cares that guests feel comfortable. The apartment is also very close to the old town, and there is a parking lot right across the street, which is very convenient in Matera. I recommend everyone to stay with Martino.

Nothing, it was perfect. WiFi was in and out, but that’s okay as we didn’t go there to spend it inside on the internet. 10/10

Beautiful and convenient location, nicely renovated and large rooms with a great bathroom with walk in shower. Stunning patio to sit and enjoy a drink while soaking up the view. Best thing was our host Martino, helpful and friendly and made the stay feel like a second home. We loved it, Grazie Martino!

Well-renovated with great taste. Beautiful view. Location is perfect, easy walk around the magnificent Matera. Parking in front of the place (and good price 10 euros for 24h). Owner gave us multiple advices to get to know the city history and visit it.

Firstly the couple running it went above and beyond to help us have a great stay. Helpful and informative. Just far enough away from the busy town, but not too far. As a result quiet on a nighttime. Breakfast to die for with traditional and local ingredients..

Perfect place to stay in Matera! the rooms are beautifully renovated, great location next to the sassi and gorgeous view. Would also recommend to do the breakfast there, he prepared a delicious buffet for us and the breakfast room has the stunning view. Martino was a great host and guide, he was always available in case of questions, and he took his time to recommend us a tour of the city considering the length of our stay, as well as restaurants and bars.

The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the shower excellent. The accommodation offers an impressive view of the gorge and is within easy walking distance of all the sights in Matera. Martino is a friendly and helpful host with a wealth of local knowledge. Breakfast was plentiful and nourishing. I would definitely stay here again.

L’Antica Conceria is in a great location, overlooking the gorge but only about a 5 minute walk to the centre of Matera. The rooms have been lovingly restored and we had a very comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and it was very clean. A lovely breakfast was also served each morning. Martino the host went above and beyond and was very flexible with our check in time and arranging for a taxi to meet us at the bus station. He also drove us to the bus on checking out. He provided very detailed information on the places to see and restaurant recommendations which were great. We would highly recommend staying at this wonderful establishment.

Everything was great but we do recommend staying in one of the rooms with balcony / view!

- The views are great, as you get to see the surroundings of Matera (the mountains, the caves, the river) - Martino, the owner, was super friendly and always had amazing recommendations for us (restaurants, museums, etc) - The location is perfect as it is only a 5 min walk from the main square and had a safe parking place right across from the hotel

The rooms were very cozy and comfortable. They were well decorated and had terraces to sit and relax on. The views were amazing Martino met us to help with parking. He was an excellent host who spent time giving us all the history of his building and of Matera . He even gave us ideas for towns to see after we left Matera. The breakfast was delicious with many local specialties. Martino was there each morning making sure we had everything we needed Thank you Martino for an unforgettable stay!!

Honestly, everything was great. If we had to suggest anything, it would be to offer a few complimentary drinks, like water. Also, while breakfast was really good, a bit more variety would be nice.

This place is truly amazing. Our room was spacious, clean, and included a lovely bath/jacuzzi. The views were breathtaking, with a private outdoor garden that added a special touch. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the city center, and the views overlook the valley rather than the city — which we actually preferred, as it was much more peaceful. The host was incredibly kind and always available, even helping us plan daily visits.

Great hotel just outside the sassi of Matera within easy walking distance to all restaurants and sights. Martino is an excellent host and is very helpful in making restuarant recommendations and reservations as well as providing the "must-see" sites in Matera.
