How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The room is very beautiful. The location is brilliant. Close to the station and everything in Alba. The bed is very comfortable and the room is exceptionally clean. Maria, the owner, is very kind and helpful. And although breakfast isn't included, there is some breakfast food provided. As well as a lovely bottle of local wine.

Bear in mind it is a modest accomodation with no breakfast service. They have a kettle and coffee maker . The low point was actually the plastic wine glasses. For a place like Alba, in Piedmont, where many visitors come for the wine, having a plastic wine glasses in a adult accomodation was very disappointing.
The location is very good , near the main square, where everything happens. The place was very clean and comfy.

We have stayed many times and will for sure return , next time in Alba. Very near Center and friendly owner. Parking is not difficult , use the Big square nearby , but be aware of ‘Marked days’.

Everything! We loved the location, so close to the beautiful town of Alba yet easy to park and very quiet. The owner is so lovely and welcoming and her property is stylish, clean and comfortable.

I cannot complaint about anything. The only observation I have --based on the fact that a question was asked or brought up above about breakfast-- that if breakfast is included it should be clarified. To my knowledge this is not applicable, and I was not expecting any breakfast.
Breakfast: N/A After having read many comments, before booking this place, I can only agree with all those comments. It's a great place, and the personal rapport with the owner / person who was on board was excellent.

Very friendly, helpful and responsive host. Secure parking for our motorcycle. Welcome cold drink in fridge. Very central location. Comfortable bed, excellent facilities.

The two ladies who run the place were exceptionally kind and helpful. In particular, when we thought (wrongly as it turned out) that we had lost a credit card they helped us look for it and phoned a restaurant where we had eaten to see if it was there. Breakfast is not provided as was clear when we booked but there is a cafe across the road.

the others guests didn't really care about hte noise they made when they came back from their walk later at night and made a lot of noise with the front gater that was unfortunately close to our room.
The appartmenet is really calm and close to the center. The host was nice and helped us find a parking spot. She even gave us some restaurant addresses and provided us with a bottle of local white wine.

Nothing, it was perfect.
Everything! The owner was absolutely lovely and took lots of time and care to show us around. The rooms were gorgeous and spotlessly clean. Very stylish! We loved it here and can’t wait to return.

Great location, lovely room!! The hotel is near from different places to have lunch, dinner or just have a glass of wine. You also can move to Barolo and other wine zones in a few minuts. Andrea, the host, was absolutely kind!! For sure a place to come back anytime.

Slightly strange layout on the ground floor of an apartment building courtyard with rooms opening directly onto the courtyard.
Reasonable value for a somewhat short notice booking during the truffle festival.

Room opened directly on the ground floor courtyard of an apartment compound so it was not very private. No breakfast and earlier than usual checkout.
A great value in the historic part of Alba during the truffle festival, with convenient covered bike parking in the courtyard.

Great location but also very quiet. Huge comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Really appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine, which we enjoyed on the roof terrace.

Great location with beautiful facilities including a sunny terrace and glorious courtyard. Staff was most hospitable and extremely helpful with any of our requests. Highly recommend Angolo Divino and would definitely stay there again on our next visit. Look no further.

We stayed here for 7 nights and we're happy we picked this place. We were welcomed very warmly. The 2 hosts are so lovely and helpful. The place is located perfectly. The room was pretty, well equipped and (kept) very clean. We can highly recommend this accommodation.

Nothing really although I prefer a window to a sliding door.

Hotel was extremely orderly, tidy, and well maintained. Rooms very clean and very well outfitted. Staff was exceptionally accommodating and friendly, as well as professional. Location was ideal.
