How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Everything was absolutely wonderful and clean. The terrace was beautiful, and we loved having breakfast delivered to our room—it was the perfect way to enjoy our mornings. And evenings outside were magical !The receptionist was exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. An amazing stay overall. Thank you so much!

I was little disappointed about the breakfast, too poor, I was expecting to something else.
I can t complain about it, the property was fine. The lady from desk was very kind and nice.

It's a top floor so it does get quite hot during summer months but AC on maximum manages the heat all right. The balcony view is nothing great, but hey, there's a balcony.
The room was really stylish with a very instragrammable bath tub in it. The breakfast has well exceeded all my expectations (by Roma standards) - they apply a web-based menu system for breakfast, which is pretty cool. There was also a bunch of free goodies in the fridge. The bad was comfy, AC working, checking in easy - really nothing to complain about. They also allowed us to drop out luggage there after checking out.

The location of top floor make the room get very warm when AC is off (which is often the night case).
We really enjoyed our stay, the hotel is located at the top floor of the local building. It is very well prepared for guest checking in and out. The staff was very helpful. It was quite and safe at night. Breakfast is typically italian, mostly sweet flavour, served to the apartment.

It would be great to have big mirror in the room.
We really loved the breakfast in bed. It was very delicious and on time. The staff was polite and helpfull.

So much to like, the room was very clean and fresh, beds were very comfortable. The breakfast delivered to the room each morning was 10/10! Great value for money. 5mins walk from train station and bus stops which are so easy to use to travel into the big tourist areas

Everything was perfect! The host is very helpful, they even allowed us to check in early. Also offered to keep our luggage after we checked out the last day, so that we could visit the city unbothered. Location is very good, near the metro and bus station. Breakfast is tasty, with a menu you could choose from, I would definitely suggest the cheese and ham toast, the fresh juice and the fruit salad. Free coffee, a free minibar and a lot of smiles. 🥰

Need only to changed the pillow in terrace seems looking little old

Absolutely great accommodation! It was absolutely clean! That is scarce to see, especially in Italy. And the complimentary breakfasts with just squeezed juice-perfect and thank you! The location is great too, close to Conad and Ostiense (Eataly and T.A.M bus connection to Fiumiciono, Pyramid metro station).

Nothing really, as everything about Althea met or exceeded our expectations
Excellent and easy check-in in an establishment that was quintessentially Roman in character. Very apt!! On top of that, the breakfasts each day were amazing and actually coincidentally matched our very health-conscious breakfasts at home. Special mention must go to Cherish who looked after us daily with her calm manner and attention to detail. In a city of wonders she is close to the 8th wonder of the world. Thank you Cherish!!

Great Stay in a Perfect Location! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is excellent, situated in a chill area that provides a relaxed atmosphere while still being close to the city’s major landmarks via metro. The breakfast was simple but delicious, offering a good start to the day. The staff were incredibly nice and polite, always ready to help with a smile. The hotel was clean and well-maintained throughout my stay. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the city!
