Comfortable room with great AC. We really appreciated the quietness and the secure building. It was nice to have an elevator. We also were grateful for the location! Reasonably close to SMN train station but ALSO a 3- minute walk from the Belfiore tram stop (straight to the airport!)-- and close to the Fortezza bus hub.

Great location. Very clean property and fantastic host. Two minute walk to the tram station, but if you are happy to walk just follow the tramlines to the railway station and further on to the centre. The tram will take you directly to the airport. Property was on 6th floor but had a lift. We really only used the lift when we had our suitcases. Niccolo was an amazing host, so warm and full of energy. There was a minibar with piccolos of sparkling wine a few soft drinks and bottles of beer. The prices were incredibly cheap.

The location on the tram line both to the main station and to the airport suited us very well. Niccolo was very helpful, welcoming and gave us a good restaurant recommendation. The almost private roof top terrace and view were an added bonus

Staying at Alla Dimora Altea was one of the highlights of my trip to Florence. Located just a short walk from Santa Maria Novella, the main train station, it’s in an incredibly convenient spot for exploring the city. One of my favorite features was the rooftop terrace, which is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine while taking in the charming views of Florence’s rooftops. My room was spacious, spotless, and tastefully decorated, with windows overlooking the rooftops. It was cozy and inviting, with a very comfortable bed, reliable Wi-Fi, and plenty of thoughtful little amenities that made the stay even more pleasant. The room was cleaned every day and always in due course, which added to the overall sense of care and professionalism. A special highlight of the experience was Niccolò, the owner of the hotel. He is warm, welcoming, intelligent, and helpful beyond belief — always ready with recommendations, directions, or simply a friendly chat. On top of that, Niccolò is an incredibly reasonable and thoughtful person, genuinely committed to making his guests feel at home. You can tell he truly cares, and meeting him was one of the joys of my stay. I’ll be recommending his hotel to my friends without hesitation. At first, I was given a room where the noise from the nearby railway tracks was quite noticeable and disturbing. However, Niccolò was incredibly understanding and immediately offered to change my room. After the switch, I slept very well, and the rest of my stay was wonderfully peaceful and pleasurable. I only regret that I couldn’t have stayed longer. Alla Dimora Altea is the kind of place that makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. If you are looking for a place with character, comfort, and a truly exceptional host, this is a fantastic choice for you. I would happily return the next time I visit Florence.

We had a very pleasant stay — and a big part of that was thanks to our host, Niccolo, who made us feel at home and safe from the moment we arrived. His warm welcome really made a difference and positively shaped our overall experience. It’s important to keep in mind that this is more like a converted apartment, and each room seems to be a part of what used to be a residential flat. This is not a problem at all, but if you’re expecting a standard hotel room, you may need to adjust your expectations. For instance, you can hear others coming and going, but all guests were respectful, and we didn’t experience any disturbing noise. The terrace is truly lovely, and both the rooms and common areas were clean and well maintained. The tram stops right in front of the building — which I specifically appreciated as I was traveling with my daughter — but in the end, we didn’t use it because the location is so central that we walked everywhere. It’s within walking distance of Santa Maria Novella train station, yet nicely tucked away from the crowds in front of it. We’d definitely stay here again. Thank you for everything!

The train station is very close, and it gets quite noisy during the night. However, the location is convenient for those traveling by train. Don't forget to bring earplugs!

Niccolò was very welcoming and helpful with the parking situation, as we were 8 people traveling in a van :) The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

We were unsure what items, such as water and coffee, could be charged to the room, so we chose not to take any. Please note that some items were chargeable.

A very friendly and helpful host who advised us on the most convenient mode of transport around the city. The room was very warm during the cold winter days, and the shower was hot. It gets a thumbs-up compared to other hotels in Italy. The location was perfect, and the tram stop was very near. The town centre was easy to access via tram or walking.

No breakfast offered as mentioned when booking. However there is coffee in the room. Also, although we had our windows close, we had several mosquitos in the room.
