How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The shower was a bit small and leaked when u were using it, so the floor was soaked, which is right in front of the toilet.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. We needed to store our bicycles and they arranged a secure room. The room was clean and a decent size. We ate at the restaurant which was very nice.

Maybe some forniture need to be renewed bit overall is ok

The location to the train station was only 10 minutes walk away so very easy to reach cities like Siena and Florence without any hassle. Easy parking outside. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Everything was perfect.Very good value for the money.

Very nice family owned hotel. The key thing for me was to get a quiet room. They certainly delivered on that. The staff were great and could not have been more helpful. The restaurant was good and the prices were very reasonable. I’d definitely recommend it.

The show was exciting. So many hotels are equipping the shower with a half shower door. This is very awkward especially when the hand held shower head comes loose from the holder and showers the entire bathroom.

Bit of a problem with the bill. Was charged twice by accident, bit slow but eventually got it sorted out

Room for 3 was a little bit smaller than what should be. There were no charging outlet beside beds and the hair dryer was not powerful.
Great hotel, great breakfast, the personnel was kind and accomodating.

The bathrooms are quite small and outdated. The knob for switching Handheld to overhead shower is in a not so obvious place and needs a lot of investigation- a. Either the front desk should have a FAQ ready to answer this or instructions be clearly stated on the wall. This was certainly a frustrating experience to have them help me identify which I found out myself anyway. The bathroom n my room was certainly unergonomic as well. Wouldn't like it for more than the 1 night we stayed here. The front desk, atleast when I checked in, was clearly disinterested. Not so courteous. House keeping staff was the same too but that could be due to lack of training or education. Certainly not expected of front staff. Biggest gaff - no toilet papers at all. They did come up and give them but no apologies for missing basic stuff. All in all - needs improvement on multiple fronts.
Decent sized room. Decent breakfast. Good location. Easy to go to San Gimignano - reason for our stay at this property. Ample parking all around the area.

Among the amenities many things were lacking of like: a pair of slippers, toothbrush and mini toothpaste, mini hairbrush, all of the mentioned things are things that I usually normally find in 3* hotels (this was 4*)
Good position for whoever goes there for the clinic, very close by, also a super lovely staff

In the evening we heard a lot of noises from the kitchen so we had a little trouble to fall asleep.
The room was clean, big enough for three people, breakfast was delicious, there was almost too many choices what to eat.
