Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainThere were no coffee/tea facilities in the room. The refrigerator was noisy
Location was fantastic but with two caveats: 1) It is not close to the sea, and although the views are wonderful there are no sea views. 2) It is out of the way and somewhat hard to reach (by the way you should not trust the GPS, it may lead you though extremely narrow passages) The room had a wonderful terrace with gorgeous views and a small inflatable jacuzzi The breakfast was very good with a breathtaking view from the terrace

United KingdomHard to criticise anything about this hotel . If you choose to stay here( which we did, and had a wonderful stay ) then you will need independent transport and be prepared to climb the steep narrow streets to get about . But for us that was part of the beauty and the charm
Beautiful location . Fantastic panoramic views of the mountains . Charming old village location . Staff all impeccable . Food very good . Comfortable , traditional rooms . Good sir con.

United KingdomNot many restaurants to choose from in the village. But hotel food was lovely! We didn't have a car but didn't mind the walk down to Cava de Tirreni and bus back up. Bring mosquito repellent.
Amazing hotel, quirky, different, lots of character. Lots of thought into every detail. Views spectacular! Staff couldn't do more to help and very friendly. If you want something to switch off and relax this is the perfect spot. Loved hikes and trail runs in the forest nearby. Abbey beside is spectacular.

United StatesOur double room was small. There is parking available for an extra fee. If you have a large car, it may be difficult to arrive in front of the hotel as there is a narrow street to get there. The staff was helpful to get our car through. Availability of sunbed at the pool is limited and all beds there were booked when we got there. There is no iron and ironing board made available for guests for safety reasons.
The facilities of the hotel are wonderful and there is a pool with a beautiful view. The restaurant is excellent. We enjoyed everything and in particular the pear and ricotta dessert was unforgettable.

United KingdomWe loved the authentic charm of this unique hotel. It stands apart from other more generic offerings. Its array of wonderful terraces and spaces to enjoy outside is superb. Set in a unique and sublime location. Perched on a verdant gorge on the edge of an historic Quintessentially Italian hill top village. Breathtaking Scenery. Stunning views in every direction Also onsite is a wonderful restaurant.

Czech RepublicI don´t see much, just it is a really big hotel, whcih we didn´t expect.
The hotel is in the small village in the moutains. It is huge! Little bit hard for orientation inside:) There is a swimming pool which closes at 7 with quite expensive bar. In fron of the hotel there is a bistro with icecream and local beers, very nice. Breakfast was very tasty, with a nice view and really good coffee. For dinner we went to the pizzeria little bit higher in the village, and we had the best meal of our vacation for really good money. Also go for a walk to the church which is not far from the hotel, beautiful.

United KingdomThe walk from the larger, more accessible car park can be tiring if you’re carrying a lot of luggage, but the staff did pre-warn us about this, which was helpful.
A truly charming, friendly, hospitable establishment in a beautiful spot. The view overlooking the mountains is stunning. The room was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was very good indeed. As a base from which to visit the many sights in the area, this is excellent.

United StatesThe room was tiny for a quadruple room. The bed were VERY firm; but this seems to be typical.
The view was lovely. The location was delightful, it was a real treat to climb the mountain through the twisty roads and then to walk the village streets. The breakfast was the best one we had in Italy to date. The hotel itself was like a fun giant maze, which my kids enjoyed walking around. The pool was very pleasant.

United KingdomBeautiful location, wonderful building / area, exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly, especially the chap working in the bar/gelateria, he was always a friendly face to see after a nice meal. Location is rural but beautiful and the locals seemed to use the hotel over the weekend. A few nice restaurants within walking distance and an authentic experience of Italy at all of them. Would love to head back for a chilled weekend sometime.

PolandDesign of the room and bathroom was little outdated, but it was the only flaw.
The hotel itself is very comfortable, room was big enaugh, beds were very comfy. Room and bathroom were very clean, everything was functional. Breakfast is very tasty, there is nice selection of local food. Food in a restaurant is also tasty. View from our room was amazing, but view from restaurant terrace was just braethtaking, just as view from the outdoor pool. Hotel gardens are spacious and pictureresuqe. Staff was very helpful - even when we arrived late, they let us order dinner 10 minutes before closing. Hotel has its own parking, even two of them, we used the one further away, which was free and spacious. Hotel is situated on ruins of medieval castle, it is surrounded by cosy little town, and just around the corner of hotel is situated amazing benedictine abbey form XI century.

United KingdomThe food was OK. Breakfast the best of the bunch - especially if you like pasties. Lunch menu was quite basic but well cooked (we ignored the burgers had the grilled fish and the beef strips). Dinner menu was simple, local, rustic food - I guess we were just a bit surprised to see the pork belly come out with gravy on a bed of mashed potato a bit like the school dinners I used to have back in the day! So kind of no-frills, maybe not what you'd expect from a place this but the prices were also sensible so I guess that reflects that a bit.
Amazing location up in the hills above Salerno, around a 45-minute drive the next day to the airport. Felt like stepping back in time - but in a good way. Beautiful old building, carefully preserved and appropriately updated. We'd treated ourselves to a suite - the room was large, well-furnished and comfortable with a large terrace area which had a hot tub on it (which we didn't use). Pool area was great, swimming with swifts dipping in around you may not be for everyone but we enjoyed it! Best bit of all though - the staff. Unfailingly lovely and helpful. Special shout out to Gabriel from Patagonia. Great to see them seem to really enjoy working there, just makes for a lovely atmosphere. We walked around town after dinner to soak it up a bit, well worth taking the time to lose yourself in the little alleyways.

Netherlands- Bedroom not the one we chose online (superior with balcony )they proposed a room with a terrace to share with 2 other rooms. After discussion another solution was proposed. - last day, the restaurant and another terrace were privatised for 2 events with music, games, ...all bedrooms have to support the noise untill ...am. as reminder we chose this place for the silence and tranquility. Nobody in the hotel was aware about it, no communications.
Quiet place, comfortable, a lot of possibilities to take time for yourself, to read, sleep at the swimming pool in a very nice place and view. A very good staff too
