How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

When we arrived people were drinking but not bothering nobody. Room was very very big and clean and good breakfast.
Very clean and stuff are very friendly and family oriented.

Was hard not having air conditioning during the heat wave but can’t complain when you’re in the most beautiful location
Was an amazing location, so close to great restaurants, shops and swimming plus Villa del Balbianello entrance was right there! Beautiful views, staff were super friendly, breakfast was great and we wished we stayed longer

There was a fan, but no air conditioning, so it was fairly hot during the night as it's summer. Only one power point in the room (which powered the fan and tv), and one in the bathroom. There was a splitter but it was too close to the wall to fit our chargers.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating even with language barriers. Location was great as it was close to the bus stops (C10 bus), supermarket, 10mins from the ferry stop, and right next to the ticket booth for Villa Del Balbianello. Breakfast was really nice. Toiletries were great and bed wasn't bad. Staff also let us keep our luggage at the hotel after check out for a couple hours which really helped us out. It had a nice terrace.

Cons: No air conditioning, which made the room a bit warm, especially at night in the month of June. Even a ventilation fan was not available in the room.

Every time we asked for help from the staff, we felt like we were a nuisance and were never made to feel welcome. We also got our room little bit late. There was no mirror in the room. the bathroom only had a small wall mirror. the construction site was opposite which was noisy. air conditioning would have been nice, the room was really hot even though there was a fan on the floor
The location was perfect, very close to the beach and attractions. The breakfast was sufficient and good.

The price a bit over for such a place - it’s literally in the middle of knowwhere and for staying 1 night

Rubber/plastic mattress protectors lead to sweaty nights. The tile? factory opposite started noisy work at 7 on weekdays. Smiles, which go a long way to making you feel welcome, we’re seldom seen from the family.
Location: not too far from the ferry terminal, convenient for supermarkets, other restaurants & buses. Buffet breakfast was great. Helpful & obliging staff but cool towards foreigners.

All the rooms are in 1st or 2nd floor without a lift, so you have to carry your luggage.
Location was great. The view from the room was good and breakfast could have more options. The staff was kind enough and helped us with parking.

Comfort in line with price.
Great location, close to Villa Balbianello. 2 markets nearby. Restaurant in the same building. We could leave the bags after check-out

Two beds pushed together were uncomfortable. The shower cabin was pretty tight.
Brekfast was fresh and delicious. Towels were changed regularly. There was a nice view from the window.

Several places to swimming in the area. Water was very warm already at the end of July. Some local hiking to be done as well.
